"Now, if the states still appointed senators, ..."

Thank you for referencing the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, even if you didn't do so by name.

As indicated by the Constitution's Clause 6 of Section 3 of Article I, it takes 2/3 of the Senate to impeach, not sure sure about actual removal if that is the judgement. So patriots and former Obama supporters need to exercise their voting muscle in the 2014 elections to get 2/3 conservative majority control of Senate, both Democratic & Republican conservatives, in order to give lawless Obama what he deserves. Patriots should have started this project in 2010.

While you are correct in practice, the laws actually require that a slate of electors pledged to vote for the candidate who gains the most popular votes in that state be the ones casting the state’s electoral votes. There is still no provision in the law that would prevent an elector from pledging to vote for the winning candidate and then when the time came, to vote for a different candidate. If you recall, in 2000, there was some talk about the possibility of swaying a faithless elector or two to vote against Bush. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but if it had, there is no legal way to prevent it.

Just a pet peeve of mine: the Senate cannot impeach. Impeachment refers to the bringing of charges, not removal from office. The House of Representatives is the body that can impeach, by a 2/3 vote. The Senate conducts the trial and votes to remove the impeached officer. Presidents Johnson and Clinton were both impeached, although neither was removed from office.

Possibly a nit.

It takes a simple majority of the House to impeach.

The Senate tries the impeachment, and it requires 2/3 to convict there.

What exactly is the incentive of a “conservative” Democratic senator to vote for conviction, assuming such a creature exists or will exist after the election?

Even in conservative states, the Democratic primaries are dominated by pretty liberal constituencies. So any Democratic candidate that makes it to the general election is pretty much by definition at least fairly liberal.

I was prepared for a “ho-hum” from the media meter in my brain. But when I read it, it was clear that even a portion of this list is incredibly damaging just to read or hear.

Yes, but he’s not black. That means he is operating without the impenatrable defense shields that give Obama a free pass.

Agree, not going to happen.

Key is to get control of the Senate in January 2015 and stop any nominations to SCOTUS for the next two years.

Can’t do much now except let him do so much harm that we have a tsunami in 2016. White House, Senate, House. Then, pick up a couple Sup. Ct seats and start bringing this country back to where it belongs.

While I agree with all of that, the process is too slow to stop the child at the controls who is pushing every button in hopes of crashing us all.

That's why I'm thinking about a vote of “No confidence” to freeze all Presidential decisions until the much-needed prosecution of treasonable-not just impeachable- but treasonous and immediately dangerous actions such as giving deadly arms to terrorists and drug dealers, attempting to overwhelm border security, and illegally arming civil government services with weapons of war. Treason and immediately dangerous to the public. Freeze all presidential authority, escort him to a secure location and send Holder with him.

He’s black, therefore you are racist for even suggesting such a thing.

Actually he needs to be impeached because people think he is black. His mother was as white as sheet. Why tarnish all black people with the performance of a half white man ?

Two words why this won’t happen-——President Biden.
Same reason why Clinton was not convicted-—President Gore
Becareful what you wish for.

There are plenty of reasons for impeachment. What we’re lacking is courage.

"Just a pet peeve of mine: the Senate cannot impeach."

Yes, Clause 5 of Section 2 of Article I says that the HoR has sole power of impeachement. All I know that regardless that the HoR impeached Clinton, he was still in Oval Office chuckling because of the popularly elected Senate. I guess that I do not understand the impeachement process.

Also, given that the allegations of Obama giving aid and comfort to the nation's enemies are true, I wish that somebody in DC would try to throw Section 3 of the 14th Amendment at him.

OK—ONE MORE TIME-— We can not impeach Obama with Harry Reid in Senate—will not happen. The order of things must be-—
1. Take back Senate for GOP (or Tea Party Conservatives)
2. Keep and expand control of House.
3. Appoint special prosicutor to investigate Obama
4. Then you can impeach—knowing that President Biden will
pardon Obama and crew.
BUT its worth it if the Public can learn of the depth of corruption that exists in the oval office. This move will put the wooden spike into the vampire of progressiveism that haunts our land.
