This report from BBC, via MBS, lasts 13:27 and contains segments from correspondents and military personnel who took part in the D-Day invasion.

Flight Lieutenant Alan Melville, during a firefight as paratroopers were landing.
Robert Barr from an advanced Allied command post.
A war reporter whose name I can’t make out.
A Royal Navy sublieutenant.
Chester Wilmot (pictured) who landed in a glider with the 6th British Airborne Division on D-Day and now reports on reinforcements arriving.

I heard at one time that several rolls of film were lost in the first couple of days when the LST returning them to a ship was sunk. Have you ever heard that?

There’s the story of famed photog Robert Capa, whose D-Day photos were mostly ruined in the darkroom by guys in too big a hurry.
