White House To Request $2 Billion To Handle Border Influx of Children Nogales Border

Influx of children illegally crossing U.S. border is called a humanitarian crisis Federal officials scramble to respond to unexpected surge of minors immigrating alone into U.S.

A rush of young children crossing alone and illegally into the United States from Texas is so large and unexpected that senior officials with the Obama administration said Monday the White House is asking Congress for about $2 billion to grapple with what is being called a humanitarian crisis.

Immigration agents are so overwhelmed that some children are being kept in detention and being processed during a longer time period than the 72-hour maximum requirement, these senior administration officials acknowledged. The officials briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.

Although they said they had been prepared for an increase this year in the Rio Grande Valley, the influx was much greater than anticipated. As many as 90,000 minors are forecast to enter the U.S. this year without their parents or guardians, the officials said.

But these officials also reiterated that the increased influx of unaccompanied children who are crossing illegally into the United States through Texas is due to escalating violence in Central America and not because of false rumors that people who cross will be eligible for some sort of permanent immigration relief.

The Obama administration request for the funds would cover costs of the Health and Human Services' Unaccompanied Alien Children program and is just the latest effort by federal immigration officials to contain the crisis.

Notice how they’re funneling in/being sent to *red* states? Texas, AZ and now, OK. Hmmm.

That’s a geographical thing. But it’s convenient, too.

The children (a majority are about 16 yrs old...which means they can vote in 2016) were rounded up by Homeland Security in Central America and sent here due to poverty and violence in their countries. There are some small children down to 2 yrs old, probably sent with older siblings...however this is a lie that they can get citizenship under amnesty....the Visa clause makes 21 year olds get back to the back in the visa line. So they can be used for the election to vote, but won’t actually get what they are being promised...it’s a democrat scam, as usual.

there are some articles talking about this, but the one I wanted to use won’t allow a link.

No, they’re not here yet. Megyn Kelly had a good guest that explained it.

At a cost of $252 per day, per immigrant, the United States government has launched a massive “get into the U. S. free” plan with no exit in sight. In the package, illegals will receive free food, lodging, healthcare, and clothing.

The Department of Homeland Security notified military bases just three days ago that once “secure” bases will now be reservations for thousands of Latin American teenagers that have somehow infiltrated the borders of the United States and need a place to live. Apparently, the federal law that requires anyone entering a military base to have valid, current photo ID, will not apply.

There was no discussion, it was a directive, and commanders at bases are scrambling to prepare.

The illegal immigrants are unaccompanied minors, mostly between the ages of 13 and 17, and will now call U.S. military bases home for an undetermined length of time.

2 billion???? Good heavens that’s a lot of money! I think a private company could probably do the same stuff for a whole lot less money.

I doubt they will be sent home. I read an article that talked about facilities for them to live, hiring teachers, medical staff, etc. Sounds like DHS will be running orphanages...at least for those they cannot pawn off onto the states to take care of.

They would never let a private company do it, they require the waste fraud and skim off the top

Amazing, the left says we can’t deport people because we need to keep families intact and now they won’t keep families intact.

Congress protects Obama to protect itself from accusations of treason.

About $100K will eventually make it's way as real aid. The rest will be lost as "overhead" in various shady "aid" organizations.

It's a set up.

The house votes against the two bil, and the msm go on a tirade that the house cares not about the little children.

Might even show a few starving chile's.

If the house acquiesces, their own supporters turn on them in November.

Zero wins either way

This is the tip of the iceberg. These kids’ extended families are not far behind.

It wouldn’t be humane to separate the kids from their families. /s

Their parents should be charged with child neglect and abandonment if they show up. Or is this just one of the many crimes we give invaders a pass on?

Congress should just say no. Money only for deportation.

Won’t happen. They’ll be reunited and that will be it.

One thing I can see will be some people in Section 8 Housing will be either forced to accommodate them or kicked out altogether. Or, foreclosed homes will be used to house them.

Unexpected?

Tens of thousands of penniless, unaccompanied minors from Guatemala, Hondouras and El Salvador all of a sudden, this week, decide to make their way across Mexico's southern border ( it's sealed) and made their way all the way through Mexico to the Rio Grande sector of our southern border.

All part of soetoro's nefarious Cloward-Piven Strategy. Right out of the play book as a matter of fact.

How many of these minors were raped, murdered and killed, barry and valerie?

the increased influx of unaccompanied children who are crossing illegally into the United States through Texas is due to escalating violence in Central America
__________________________________________

But the USA does share a border wi8th Central America...

we share a border with Mexico...

this does not explain why unrest in Central America should cause teenagers from there to cross Mexico for 100’s of miles and come into the US..

if the idea was just to flee violence in Honduras or Guatemala then when they went into Mexico they were safe..

HELLO ???

and it doesn’t cost $2 BILLION to put 60,000 illegal aliens on buses and send them back across the border for the Mexicans to sort out...

even home to their own countries can be done for a fraction of the cost..

and wheres the $2 BILLION for the veterans ???

if we have $2 BILLION just lying around the American veterans are the first priority not foreigners... and certainly not illegal aliens...
