Civilians take cover, flee Ukrainian city as shells land

Although the army denies shelling civilians or buildings used by civilians, a woman who gave her name only as Tatyana said she had seen the incident in which the now burnt-out sports store was hit: "People were burned, lying on the street. There was a body lying there," she said pointing under the rubble, her hands dirty because of a lack of water to wash with.

The transformation of Slaviansk in the past week is a result of the two-pronged policy being pursued by President Petro Poroshenko, the pro-Western leader elected last month and sworn in on Saturday with a pledge to end the insurrection.

Although he has started talks with Russia on a peace plan he has drawn up, he has also ordered Ukraine's armed forces to step up their "Anti-Terrorist Operation" to win back control of towns and cities held by rebels seeking unification with Russia.

He is treading a tightrope. The rebels show no sign of surrendering, meaning force looks the only way of prising them out; but pushing too hard risks civilian casualties. That could both antagonize Moscow, whose troops are just across the border, and alienate eastern Ukrainians, deepening the nation's divide.

Donetsk, Ukraine (CNN) — The battle for control of the eastern Ukrainian town of Slovyansk has intensified in the past 24 hours, with civilians caught in heavy crossfire between government forces and pro-Russian separatists. Each side blames the other for mortar and rocket fire that has struck apartment buildings and homes in the town, which is now also suffering acute power and water shortages.

Social media video from Slovyansk uploaded Sunday and apparently filmed in the past two days shows extensive damage to an apartment block in the center of the town, which appears to have taken a direct hit to the third floor.

Another building was engulfed by fire. Other videos showed people hurrying to basements, with the sound of artillery and rocket fire in the distance — and at times much closer. The charred ruins of cars littered the streets, and windows in a number of buildings had been blown out.

The agenda of the West is to clear out the people..(Russians) as they flee to Russia...and destroy all the Industry and business so that if Putin does go in there's nothing left.....and or if the Russian citizens detemine to come back there is nothing to return to. Porsh knows the people there will not give up unless they are forced out of the area...keep in ind that Pres. Porsh was the number one contributor to Private Sector, which he has now appointed his own Private Army ..and further appointed leaders of the Private Sector in charge of Security in the Kiev Gov.

It's beginning to look like Kiev Gov. is eliminating the Russian population in the East simply by getting them to flee to Russia....and leaving nothing for them to come back to..... If Putin goes for anything..it will be Odessa where his port line is. He just recognized their referendum.

Ukraine army soldiers telling how the Kiev Gov. is forcing them to fight or be shot in the legs if they refuse......additionally some have had their children threatened if they don't fight. (The conversation with the Ukrainian Army contractors who do not want to fight civilians was attended by the representatives of the military prosecutor's office....)

........"Three armed men came and began to threaten our children. They said if our children refuse to join the military operations of the Ukrainian Army, they will be shot in legs. Then these men told that parents will be also shot," said other relatives.

Kiev Gov. blocks water to Crimea/Russia... Yet complains about SouthStream Pipeline by-passing Ukraine. Kiev Gov is basically lacking the funds it needs, even with the IMF loans and US funding...it cannot support itself....it needs to stop the game it's trying to play..it has an empty hand now.

Isn't that a war crime?

Based upon what I'm reading in the past few days Kiev may have created a monster.

Yet the US continues to say it's not involved with the fighting element in Ukraine..when it in fact is very much involved...hand in glove with the Oligarchs army thugs.

Nobody in Ukraine is following any rules or laws...they are making them up as they go...following Obamas tactics as he is doing in our country.....They do what they want and then point the finger somewhere else.....that's why there MUST BE CHAOS in Ukraine...otherwise the US hand would be obvious even to the deniers.

Watch Odessetia now...conflict likely ahead:

(((South Ossetia elections:....... United Ossetia party wins.... has called for a referendum on unification with Russia.....Russia welcomes results of election........Nato does Not recognize the election....(Parliamentary elections in South Ossetia meet international standards — observers)....Foreign Ministry in Kiev Gov. does not recognize elections in South Ossetia"))))

Obama is such a liar....certainly no doubt he’s an International Citizen over that of loyalty to our country, he’s a direct representative for the NWO....Then he uses the presses words about Putin not firing a shot in Crimea....although Obamas supporting the shelling in Ukraine pretty much scrambles that.

Here’s his quote:

“Standing with our allies on behalf of International Order (NWO), working with International institutions, has given a chance for the Ukrainian people to choose their future, without us firing a shot.”......

— President Obama, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., May 28, 2014

Twitter reporting that the rebels are trying to negotiate the surrender of the Artemovsk Tank base.

There has been fighting there, with casualties on both sides. Capturing the base, and the AFV’s, would open up Slovyansk to resupply and support from Lugansk.
