How the Dream Act may have led to Eric Cantor's loss
Washington Examiner ^ | June 11, 2014 | BY SUSAN FERRECHIO

The defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is likely to significantly chill efforts to pass an immigration reform bill this year.

"One of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents,” Cantor said in a 2013 speech. “It is time to provide an opportunity for legal residence and citizenship for those who were brought to this country as children and who know no other home."

Brat told voters he opposes Dream Act legislation.

“For Eric Cantor to say he was against amnesty, while promoting it for certain groups,” Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kan., told the Washington Examiner, “I guess that wasn't very believable.”

This ‘Dreamers’ BS is beyond stupid!

Just how the hell do they propose to tell the difference between a ‘Dreamer’ that that came here with his illegal parents a 5, and one that swam across the river last week at 15?

They’re illegals for cripes sake, they have no valid ID or BC, no way of telling who they are or when they arrived!!

His pollster had him way ahead too

I think this may be a huge side benefit to Cantor's loss. The insider GOPe consultants and pollsters who are always steering left have lost credibility. Maybe a few of them will have a harder time getting the ear of GOP candidates.

Children should not benefit from the crimes of their parents.

Foreigners have no right to be here, deporting them is not punishment.

As coroner, of Freeperland,
I’m here to certify to you—
That his career’s not merely dead,
It’s really quite sincerely dead.

Poking dead RINO with stick:
Yup, he’s dead. Dead as disco.
But let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.
This is supposed to be a happy occasion!

"One of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents,” Cantor said in a 2013 speech..."

What?

These people just make stuff up as the go along. Very good that he was defeated.

Look, if parents from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc. are allowing their children to be shipped to the southern US border...and make no mistake, THAT is precisely what is happening here, the kids did not walk across Central American jungles by themselves, get through the Mexican southern border and just magically show up on the Texas, New Mexico, Arizona borders with no food or water...anyhow, if they are allowing their kids to be used this way, it's on them and the people using them. NOT on the Citizens of the United States.

I say, set up a Guatemalen Sea-Lift and pay for commercial cargo ships to take these kids back to Central Amnerica, and to pay for Peace Corp people to accomp[any themn and feed them in route...and then take the money to do that DIRECTLY OUT OF FOREIGN AID FUNDS of those effected countries.

You would see this stuff stop over night.

Then...when the kids are back in their countries...CUT OFF ANY MORE FOREIGN AID to the countries allowing this to happen. Every penny.

I absolutely agree with the sentiment and the premise, but it is not applied generally, and is being exploited in this instance.

If we universally don't believe in punishing children for the mistakes of their parents, why do some speak of the need for reparations? Why are children being taught ‘white guilt’? Children are children.

I don't want any child to suffer, ever, but there are children suffering all over the world. This includes those children who are caught in the cross-fire of Islamic radicalism. We should be holding accountable the countries that provide no opportunity for their children, creating or letting exist conditions that lead to illegal immigration. We should be holding accountable the countries that exploit children in the work force, or politically. It's a complex problem, but in my view the left isn't interested in an honest dialogue. They are mostly interested in identifying and using issues that give them a political advantage.

Yes. The Left is constantly pushing the boundaries of the Constitution (see Roe v Wade with its “penumbras”) in the directions it wants to go.

I view things like this as I do “hate crimes”. The Constitution protects against everything liberals want to prosecute as “hate crimes” if only it were followed.

All hate crimes legislation does is put things in place that don’t need to be there.

Murder is murder. Theft is theft. Rape is rape.

It is simply a liberal tactic. If you don’t do X, Y, or Z, you are against children/women/minorities/etc.

It doesn’t make any difference if X, Y, or Z are wrong, illegal or just bad for those groups. If you are against it, you are against children.

And your point is an excellent one....very good. If reparations aren’t “children” being punished for the sins of their “parents”, then what is it?

HUH---GIMME THAT AGAIN? Cantor in 2013: "One of the great founding principles of our country was that children would not be punished for the mistakes of their parents. It is time to provide an opportunity for legal residence and citizenship for those who were brought to this country as children and who know no other home."

Cantor later offered a new explanation for why he supports granting amnesty to individuals brought into the country illegally as minors. It's “Biblical,” he said in a local radio interview.

Wadda ya wanna bet that tidbit offed the sucker but good. So much for Cantor's high-sounding words (endorsing a measure intended to dismantle US ntl scurity).

Cantor stupidly believed the rest of us just fell of turnip truck---that we know nothing about the Dream Act except what he makes up.

==================================================

THE FACTS ARE THESE---The Senate amnesty bill is dangerously flawed, and its glaring omissions WRT protecting US ntl security, cannot ever serve as the basis for useful legislation.

By legalizing illegal aliens w/out shoring up law enforcement, we hand an engraved invitation to global Third Worlders----all of 'em salivating to ride the US gravy train.....each seperatist group conniving to achieve its hidden agenda.

Amnesty recklessly opens the door wide for illiterate, low-skilled aliens, born and bred in savage cultures, here to suck up US benefits and take jobs away from Americans.

Third Worlders may, in fact, contribute their labor to the US, but their loyalties are elsewhere----they have no intention of becoming Americanized....of participating as equals in American culture, revering our vast history, or preserving American values.

The Senate amnesty bill is a blueprint----it amply demonstrates that illegal separatist populations intend to usurp the US political system to advance their own hidden agenda.

================================================

Immigration “reform” includes two “slush funds” amounting to $150,000,000 that may be supplemented with additional taxpayer dollars for years to come, earmarked for "Dreamers"----like the blood-thirsty La Raza.

LA RAZA TEACHING HATE-AMERICA WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS La Raza Studies do not even try to sugar-coat its anti-America agenda and its bloodthirsty plans to kill off Americans: Raza Studies textbook “Occupied America,” by Rodolfo Acuña, includes a violent and blood-curdling speech given by university professor Jose Angel Gutierrez: “We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is, if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him,” (pg. 323).

The following is taken directly from La Raza's Occupied America (pg. 167): “.......execute all white males over age 16,” (AKA the Plan of San Diego).

America-hating Raza Studies teach (1) violence, (2) undermining US ntl security, and, (3) the need for Mexico to "re-take seven states in the Southwest...in order to make the SW a Chicano nation. "

SCHOOL BOARD NUT CASES Adelita Grijalva is the woman on the Arizona school board pimping La Raza indoctrination programs in Tuscon schools. Adelita is all up in arms about Raza Studies getting tossed via the AZ state legislature's action...she is the daughter of Raul Grijalva (D-AZ-7).

Cong Raul Grijalva is one of Mexico’s most productive and loyal Fifth Column in the US Congress....aiding and abetting the latino criminal underworld, colluding to take back the SW, and loot and pillage the US treasury.

Raul and friend.

Cantor and friend.

Recent studies indicate that the cost of raising a child is about $250,000. Since the government will now in effect be "raising" all these kids flooding across our southern border, and as we know how efficient the government is, it's gonna cost at least $500k per child. So, 150,000 kids this year..that's a future cost to we, the taxpayers, of some $75 BILLION.

It's also despicable that these illegals are now instantly receiving medical care, unlike our vets..

It's despicable illegals swarming at the border are instantly receiving medical care, unlike our vets.

Good point---but the border swarm are new Democrat voters---gotta pile on the freebies.

After all, Obomba might have a nervous breakdown if Repubs win majorities.

Obama is deliberately using thousands of illegal alien children, placing them in POW camp conditions for effect to force amnesty. How utterly sick and twisted is that? This is something some tin horn African dictator would do to force his will.

In the meantime, crickets are chirping from Boehner, Rove and the Chamber of Commerce. ALL complicit in this scheme.

Then...when the kids are returned home...CUT OFF FOREIGN AID to the savage countries aiding and abetting child abandonment.

We also need to launch a global investigation WRT (1) Obama's collusion and conspiracy w/ these savage countries to transport children thousands of miles.....(2) determine the scope and dimension of tax dollars and other emoluments extorted to pay for this....and, (3) what Obama promised in return for the new Democrat voters.

Obama’s DHS Chief Threatens Migrant Flood If GOP Rejects Amnesty Bill
The Daily Caller ^ | 6/12/14 | Neil Munro / Posted by blueyon

Department of Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson suggested Thursday he would not block the growing wave of illegal immigrants who are crossing the Texas border until the GOP agrees to pass the Senate immigration rewrite that is backed by President Obama. He twice refused to set any limit on the number of foreign youths who would be given the opportunity to ask the administration’s immigration judges for permission to live in the United States. Johnson and several deputies delivered the threat to GOP legislators during a brief June 12 press conference. The threat was offset by statements........ (Excerpt) Read more at dailycaller.com ...

===============================================

First---Jeh Johnson needs to be arrested for abuse of public office---that's not his job to bully Americans.

Second--Democrats need to be put on notice-----what happened to Cantor can happen to them.

Americans will not be bullied by tax-paid govt factotums like Johnson----we demand Democrats act now and request Johnson's resignation.

AND if Obama dares to move unilaterally on any immigration measure---we demand Democrats request his resignation, as well. Congressional Republicans should also be contacted to move this along.
