This prominent conservative says immigration reform isn't necessarily dead

Tuesday might have been a bad night for immigration reform -- but not necessarily.

That's the message from Grover Norquist, the president of Americans for Tax Reform. He favors the kind of immigration reform -- including a large guest worker program and more legal immigration -- that many Tea Party activists vehemently oppose.

But it’s not guaranteed, and it depends on the media narrative that emerges, he added.

“Give it ten days,” Norquist said.

If a consensus emerges that Cantor’s stance on immigration lost him his seat, then that’s a big problem for reform proponents.

“If the narrative hardens that that’s what it was about, then it could spook people and put off a vote that might otherwise happen in next month,” Norquist said. “If people are convinced, No, that wasn’t what it is, then it won’t have any effect at all.”

Here is a “third” TEA Party Platform:

* Close and seal the Southern US Border, all 2,000 + miles of it.

* Cancel NAFTA.

* Abolish all Federal, State and Local Welfare payments to non-citizens of the USA.

* Block all money transfers to Mexico, or other any Country South of our Southern Border.

* Have lunch.

* After lunch, pass and sign Federal Penalty law to anyone who hires an Illegal Alien Invader, with a fine of $1,000 per day per alien.

* String Concertina Wire Holding-Pen Stockades at 100 mile intervals for the newly captured gotta-ways.

* Be as hostile to Mexicans as the Mexicans have been to the US Marine held and tortured in Prison by the Mexican Guards for the last two months.

* Hire Greyhound Bus Company to transport Illegal Alien Invaders to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Chain Link Desert Spa near Phoenix, Arizona.

* Have supper.

So much kibuki theater with these pro amnesty shills. Obama has opened the flood gates, is pushing for his self inflicted humanitarian aid package and has already made it known that he will EO amnesty into law if congress doesn’t play ball.

this was using children as a photo op.

remember the 15 year old drug dealer who was a mass murderer?

This was supposed to be “cover” to use the “for the children” excuse.

Are these orphans?

no

Will their parents “claim them” after Amnesty? yes

IOW each “child pawn” represents an entire family’s amnesty anchor.
