The Endless Invasion of America
cns news ^ | 6/11/14 | Pat Buchanan

For 10 days, Americans have argued over the wisdom of trading five Taliban senior commanders for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

President Obama handed the Taliban a victory, critics contend, and imperiled U.S. troops in Afghanistan when the five return to the battlefield. Moreover, he has inspired the Haqqani network and other Islamists to capture more Americans to trade.

But which represents the greater long-term threat to the safety and security of our people and nation: sending those five Taliban leaders to Doha, and perhaps back to Afghanistan, or releasing into the U.S. population last year 36,000 criminal illegal aliens with 88,000 convictions among them?

According to a May report of the Center for Immigration Studies, of the 36,000 criminal aliens who, while awaiting deportation, were set free by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, 193 had been convicted of homicide, 426 of sexual assault, 303 of kidnaping, 1,075 of aggravated assault, 1,160 for stolen vehicles, 9,187 for possession or use of dangerous drugs, and 16,070 for driving drunk or drugged.

Amnesty and liberal immigration policy are a de facto handover of the American southwest (and ultimately the entire US) to Mexico, because in terms of culture, economics, and civic life, we'll have a country that looks more like Mexico than the United States. Perhaps some of the fans of Jeb Bush and other pro-amnesty Republicans can explain the net benefit of allowing this de facto invasion to occur unimpeded before our very eyes.

Close and seal the US Southern Border.

Now is the time for American Border Security to trump all other agreements, including NAFTA.

Without heavily armed troops and secure concentration camps to house the children and adults who manage to slip past these armed troops, there will be no other defense, but for WE THE PEOPLE to “fix” the problem ourselves.

This is WAR, just like Obama and the GOP-E Amnesty Whores have planned it.

Even in economic terms, open borders and amnesty are a disaster. Whatever money is gained by cheap labor is offset severalfold by the cost in social services that these people consume.

Absolutely, but the people who gain are different from the people who lose - and the GOPe is firmly in the pockets of the former.

This is a blatant case of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” . We have a President, who, LIKE HIS PREDECESSOR, refuses to enforce our immigration laws or defend our borders.

Bush II SHOULD have been impeached over this.

Obama MUST be impeached over it. If he is NOT, we face the prospect of future Presidents trying to be Presidents of the world and actively facilitating the violation of borders.

Illegals have killed, raped, robbed, and hurt more Americans than any terrorist threat.

Yet, we continue to do nothing. There is no War to protect our citizens from such a threat, and politicians and business don't mind Americans being harmed as long as they benefit from such a interest group.

It was a complete joke to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, while doing nothing here to protect our own people.

Obama policies make it all the more imperative that Americans stay armed.

Now is the time for American Border Security to trump all other agreements, including NAFTA.

As far as I'm concerned, NAFTA should never have been passed to begin with. It was a green light for capital flight from the US to Mexico, and set a precedent for similar trade agreements with other Third World countries.

“Close and seal the US Southern Border.”

At least 1/3 of illegals hiding in the US are come via our airports.

They come with visas but never return home when the visa expires.

Without interior enforcement and deportation ‘sealing the border’ doesn’t solve the problem.

It's not just airports. Mexican nationals in border cities can get 6 month (or perhaps annual?) visas allowing them entry to the US for shopping/tourism. All they have to do is go "shopping" across the border legally, and then not return to Mexico. The bottom line is that the US has to be a lot more selective in who it gives entry visas of any kind to.

NAFTA was a disaster for small Mexican farmers. They couldn’t compete with cheaper American corn coming into Mexico and when they lost their jobs they headed north by the thousands.

NAFTA boosters are are the usual crowd who consider nothing other than the money involved when judging a policy.

NAFTA set in motion a huge exodus of poor Mexicans into the US and in that respect it has been a disaster for America as well as for the Mexican farmers. But that makes no difference to Wall Street donors to the GOPe and libertarian ideologues.

Agree. This fact needs to seep into the common consciousness.

‘Sealing the Border’ isn’t enough. The illegal invasion won’t be slowed until there is serious interior enforcement and deportation.

No one knows this better than Californians who have seen their towns and cities conquered by foreigners with the approval and assistance of ‘our’ own politicians.

In another era the likes of Obama and Jeb Bush and rest of the amnesty pushers would be recognized as traitors by whole country instead of being regarded as Presidential material.

When I worked at a restaurant back around 2000 I was perplexed how all the Mexicans in the kitchen most of whom were not legal would visit Mexico around Christmas or in the summer. They told me they could get a flight from Texas where I am to Mexico and back into America. I could only presume that they didn’t need a passport or if they were Mexican nationals they had no problem there and if the flight originated in the US they didn’t need proper ID or were not checked upon return to the US because it was a return flight. Still something stinks because none of that mattered to me when flying in my lifetime. Likely all that they had to have was a drivers license or state ID and they were cool.
