It was good that Lugar lost no matter what. This was part of buiding the narrative against Cantor.
This is a payback for Cuccinelli as well.

So Rush Limbaugh and a host of fellow like-minded people have been right all along:
The DC GOP would rather have beltway Dems.
The center-right (GOP-e) and the center-left (Dem-e) are the beltway politicians (The EStablishment). They constantly reach across the aisle to each othe. Thus, we really do have a one-party system to a large degree.

Lugar was a scumbag.
(2009) Chicago Climate Exchange Has Important Partner: Sen. Richard Lugar
Three years ago, Lugar, who grows corn, soybeans and trees on his family's 604 acres of property in Marion County, Ind., became the first farmer in his state to sign up with the new commodity market called the Chicago Climate Exchange, which is likely to play a major role in President Obama's $650 billion cap-and-trade initiative. In the process, Lugar became what the exchange called an offset producer, entitling him to a financial reward in return for keeping his part of his property untouched.

Dick Lugar wanted to start a war with Syria because that was the warm and fuzzy moderate Republican thing to do.

Whoever these two ‘young guns’ are should be ID’d, and gone after (by those with the money) so they’ll never work in DC politics again.
