The Boston Herald speaks to the non crazy MA resident, and that's more people than most outsiders realize. Scott Brown was elected to the US Senate to stop the insanity; he lost to Elizatbeth Warren when he turned out to be just another compromising fool. (who the NH RINOs want to send to the US Senate again; go figure). Mitt Romney was the last of a long line of Republican MA governors elected to keep things in line and stop the insanity; they didn't and they lost the governorship.

What's my point? This Boston Herald article has it correct, and the RINOs should realize it's "game up". Real US citizens are sick of the invasion of the US and sick of the debt and sick of government over-reach into their lives. Even in the Yankee core of MA.

And I believe in a cost saving measure, the Herald is actually PRINTED by the Globe. The Herald used to have a huge building with presses, etc. but recently moved to a more modern, smaller space, and at least some editions of the Herald are printed by the Globe.

Wiki:
>>The Herald American converted to tabloid format in September 1981, but Hearst faced steep declines in circulation and advertising. The company announced it would close the Herald American—making Boston a one-newspaper town—on December 3, 1982. When the deadline came, Australian media baron Rupert Murdoch was negotiating to buy the paper and save it. He closed on the deal after 30 hours of talks with Hearst and newspaper unions—and five hours after Hearst had sent out notices to newsroom employees telling them they were terminated. The newspaper announced its own survival the next day with a full-page headline: “You Bet We’re Alive! Murdoch changed the paper’s name back to the Boston Herald. The Herald continued to grow, expanding its coverage and increasing its circulation until 2001, when nearly all newspapers fell victim to declining circulations and revenue.

>>In February 1994, Murdoch’s News Corporation was forced to sell the paper, in order that its subsidiary Fox Television Stations could legally consummate its purchase of Fox affiliate WFXT (Channel 25) because Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy included language in an appropriations barring one company from owning a newspaper and television station in the same market

Brown said on Howie Carr’s show and in his ads, etc he wouldn’t vote the strict party line—he’d do what he thought best. That didn’t stop the Dems from running ads saying, “Who is Scott Brown, really? A Republican. Who will vote in lockstep with the Republican party. At times like these, we don’t need a Republican..like Scott Brown.”

“Republican” evidently meant “Nazi”. Did he vote the straight party line? No, but then again the GOP-e isn’t as conservative as we’d like.

The state’s voters are so brainwashed that some GOP candidates downplay the R-word and use terms like “independent voice”.

After years of Dem governors like Mike Dukakis (at least one Dem, though—Ed King—was conservative), there was a 16 yr period of GOP governors: Bill Weld, Paul Cellucci, Jane Swift, Mitt Romney. None hardcore conservative, but the Commonwealth started to pine for another Dem in the Corner Office and elected Deval Patrick in 06 and 10. “Together We Can”—a forerunner of Obama in 08. Charlie Baker, presumptive GOP nominee, may be facing someone like Martha Coakley. Yecch. Lesser of two...
