The recent victories in Iraq and Syria by the terrorists of ISIS -- said to be an offshoot of al-Qaeda -- have emboldened the group and its followers throughout the Middle East. Now the terrorists are planning to move their jihad not only to Jordan, but also to the Gaza Strip, Sinai and Lebanon.
Failure to act will result in the establishment in the Middle East of a dangerous extremist Islamic empire that will pose a threat to American and Western interests.

This group is utterly vicious. BTW, I read that the UN just issued a call for Iraq to “respect human rights” when fighting back against ISIL. Note that the UN didn’t say a thing to ISIL.
I may be wrong, but isn’t the ISIS part of the rebel group that the US is covertly helping to fight against Assad?

I think it will happen spontaneously and within nations being oppressed by moslems and leftist governments. Somewhere in the EU most likely, and the EUrocrats will hang side by side with the jihadists.
I hope you're right, but I fear you're wrong. The original Charles Martel was, even before the Battle of Tours, recognized by France as a valuable leader.
Any Charles Martel that appeared today would be smeared by the government and the media. He'd be called a nazi, a fascist, a racist. All that would probably stick...until it was too late.
As a side note, how about Prince Henry as the next Charles Martel? The kid is popular, and he has guts.

I think what we’re going to see an an unusual alliance between Israel, Jordan, Iran, and Syria. It probably won’t be anything official with diplomatic talks. Probably allowing each to do their own thing without interfering with each other.
They don’t have to love each other to recognize a threat to all.
