There is a family of these cute little guys that can be seen quite often, near the highway leading to Arches N.P., just north of Moab.

It that senile old bastird tried it with my males, by the time they had back kicked their hoofs his balls would be 1/2 mile behind him and they could outrun him also, then he could deal with their horns, Crappy human being that is not normal, he is insane....They have staff to empty his drool cup hung around his neck, but can still say yes when voting..
On a lighter note; Jack has learned how to escape the pasture fencing.
The wife came home wto night’s ago and informed me the goats were out!
I found that 3 were penned up quite securely and just Jack was out; so I theorized that somehow he’d slipped past me without my observing him in the morning when I had let the birds loose for the day.
Last night, I found him out again, with all the gates secure.
In the deeping dusk, I patrolled the fenceline, but saw nothing obvious wrong.
Today, in the light, I hope to see how ol’ sneaky is getting out...
I found it!
I have used a tree as a fence post, and at the base of the tree, the trunk flares out, so I had cut the fencing to conform to the shape of the tree at the bottom.
I merely used nails bent over to hold the fencing to the tree. They pulled out and he was able to push the fencing open and slip out, but the fence would spring back and he couldn’t return.
Tell me just who HASN’T gone cow tipping when visiting Gramma?
Where is PETA on this one. They usually stay up nights waiting for such attack opportunities ?

Any one that says goats are dumb, never met one...I once found one of mine on top of the bales of hay in the barn, happy as could be. The bales were stacked about 7 high and from the back of the barn to the front...to this day I don’t know how he got out of his side of the barn, it was walled off. No fun dragging a young buck off the top of a hay, he liked it up there and the hay was delicious. Jack is the black one, right, it would be easy to miss him at night. Isn’t it fun being a goat herder.
