Tehran is open to the possibility of working with the United States to support Baghdad, the senior official said.

"We can work with Americans to end the insurgency in the Middle East," the official said, referring to events in Iraq.

"We are very influential in Iraq, Syria and many other countries."

For many years, Iran has been aggrieved by what it sees as U.S. efforts to marginalize it. Tehran wants to be recognized as a significant player in regional security.

I thought they already had troops in Iraq? Regardless....it's like bizarro world. But what it does illustrate is that the Shia-Sunni battle is way more important than Nationality......

Something about this whole thing stinks. The NSA had to have known and seen these toyotas beginning to mass and also the money being used to buy them. This happened too fast for my tastes and I do not think the bozo or the USA was caught unaware. This is on purpose and planned. Ask yourselves why?

This is Obama’s, (and Jarrett’s), vision.

A weak America who is closely aligned with Middle Eastern countries, and who rejects traditional Western allies.

Translation: We're open to the idea of having the Americans supply us with arms, munitions and money so we can turn Iraq into an Iranian satellite state.

Well, it is better than having the current nut jobs turn it into an even more extreme terrorist state, isn't it?

This is because they are afraid Israel will just stop all the pretenses and nuke anybody thereabouts that bows to Mecca. There comes a point when cowtowing to the US on their security isn’t enough.

With Obama’s intentional efforts to destabilize what has been accomplished, I’d say go ahead. Do it from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

We allied with Russia in WWII. The enemy of my enemy may just be another enemy.

I’d be willing to be there is CONTINUOUS coverage of this convoy from beginning to end somewhere within the bowels of the CIA and NSA. They probably have several Raptors tasked to it. They are in the WHITE HOUSE, too.

What Obama and crew are afraid of is that an attack on these convoys would be compared to the Highway of Death out of Kuwait when two or three F-15s slaughtered a whole column of Iraqis high-tailing it out of Kuwait.

This is an attempt to lure King Canute into a mine field. The blathering appeaser will surely jump on this as it fits his mind set, all things are negotiable. So, US airpower will be used to support any Iranian ground operations. IMO, there has never been a war where ground was won and held by air power, it has to be on the ground.

End result, Iran controls Iraq. Canute declares victory again and moves on to destroy something else.

I was speaking more from Iran’s point of view.

Alliances are always shifting, governed by the needs of the participants.

This ISIS bunch scares everybody except Obama of course.

I think there are lots of opportunities here but I sure wish another administration was running the show.

Obama is a Sunni Muslim and will never side with Shiite Iran against his fellow Al Queda Sunnis.

No more American blood or money should be spent on any Muslim country. The only relationship we should have toward any Islamic nation is as an enemy - they are all insane and untrustworthy.

The Soviet Union was more consistent than these jokers. They can’t be relied upon to do anything but the absolute worst thing. They take whatever help given them and use it against their own people and us.

Work with Iran?? NEVER!

I tend to agree. Besides, as we’ve seen over and over, if we let them, they’ll kill each other.
