When asked by a local television reporter to respond to his bizarre comments about unsavory acts he said he committed with animals as a child, Cochran said he doesn’t remember.

“I think maybe I was misunderstood,” Cochran said. “I don’t remember ever saying [that].”

With proper honor, those whose memory was failing would realize it’s time to pursue a different stage in their life. I’m sad to hear this, I guess his memory really is failing. Well with the goldplated medical plans that Congressmen get, he doesn’t have any excuse not to get checked out pronto.

“It certainly sounds more and more like senile dementia.”

I think you are correct. I can just imagine what he will be like in just a couple of years let alone 6.

Donald Sterling seems more coherent than this guy. McDaniels should cruise to an easy victory now.

Power structure would probably need Thad to win then step down due to illness. That sets up a pro-immigration Senator of their choice. Section (2) of their law allows appointment until the seat is filled by election.

§ 23-15-855

What is Bryants stand on illegal immigration?

He would appoint Haley Barbour. Can you imagine Senator Barbour?

If so, he could do that in a debate.

He won't debate, and says that America "is not a debating society."

That's not the words of someone with regrets, who is trying to throw the election after the fact.

The election for a successor must take place in 90 days, or in the same year if there is a general election. That resignation/temporary appointment is pretty fancy tap-dancing for one additional vote, which probably wouldn’t even be ‘additional’.

He was just confused. He meant to say that animals did indecent things to HIM.

Maybe McConnell is doing indecent things to Cochran and he wants to keep him around for six more years.

Travis Childers is having orgasms over the way McDaniel's Staff and Cochran are making gaffes. Childers is loading up and going for bear with the ammo he's getting from these two.

That gives them all the time in the world to secure that vote. One, the clock doesn’t start until he “officially” resigns. Two, tack on an extra 3 months of whatever vote money can buy.

Dems can easily tap-dance through that.

Reality now is that Bloomy just wasted a qtr mil. and Thad is in and out of reality.
