Last night I posted what I thought was a very balanced comment on the 7th district congressional election. I expressed my personal disappointment that Eric Cantor lost, congratulated David Brat on his victory, and expressed concern over the deep divisions that currently exist in our party. I encourage you to read the comments that were made in response. The negativity and vitriol of these comments (dare I say the hate in some of them) reflects what is wrong in our party right now. We have to learn to disagree without being disagreeable, and we have to learn to respect the views of other people. Until we are able to do that, the divisions in our party will continue to deepen and we will become weaker and weaker.

Who is Bill Bolling?
Who is Bill Bolling?
And why is he saying Stupid Stuff?
Wha wha wha.
Try listening to the people, not each other.
You won’t be so out of touch.
Former Lt Governor of Virginia. He was going to run for Governor and dropped out after Cuccinelli became the frontrunner.
Sounds like a lib to me. Wants all conservatives to agree with the party line. He has it right that there is a problem with the party. He simply has his players mixed up.
My comments was one of the "vitriolic" one. And yes, I do HATE Bill Bolling. He didn't just "disagree" with Ken Cucinelli, he worked to destroy his candidacy for governor, and succeeded. We call that treachery. Bill Bolling had more to do with Terry McAuliffe being governor today than any one single person I can think of. He is disgusting.
Bill is a worthless RINO.
He is a GOPe RINO. But the post he alluded to was urging Republicans to unite behind Brat after the candidate he had backed (Cantor) had lost.
Too bad he couldn’t have simply been supported in that message—which is too rarely voiced by GOPe types.
Virginia RINO.
Lost in the primary against Ken Cuccinelli, got his knickers in a knot, refused to endorse/support him. Cozied up to McCauliffe, helping him eke out a win.
Dear Bill,
I think you’ve been playing a little too much golf. There is no Republican Party without the Tea Party.
Didn’t someone in the Cantor camp work for Terry, endorsed, or assisted?
Dear Bill, the GOPe continues to attack their base, they are stuck on stupid. The GOPe is so over.
Ditch Mitch and Cochran.
Yes! Boyd Marcus.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s former chief of staff was a key player behind Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s victory over Republican challenger Ken Cuccinelli in Tuesday’s election for Virginia governor.

When the TEA Party patriots leave, the Republican Party will never win another election. Don’t be so worried about the “Hispanic” vote, RINOs. They constitute 10% of the national vote. Worry about the 60% of the vote the Republican Party will lose if you keep bashing conservatives. That is lethal.
We have to learn to disagree without being disagreeable,
Take your damn lecture to the RINOs. Liberals HAVE a party, like Palestinians have a State. In the latter case its Jordan, and in the former case its the Democrats.
Why would Bill Bolling’s opinion matter more then anyone else’s here on FR?
He's a backstabber of the lowest order, and should be shamed and shunned at every opportunity.
“We have to learn to disagree without being disagreeable, and we have to learn to respect the views of other people.”
Well, gee...Bill. Maybe the fact that true conservative voices have been punished by the GOPe that makes us a bit ‘testy’ these days.
Or, maybe it’s the fact that the GOPe can’t seem to find its conservative roots.
Or, maybe it’s that Beltway disease that politicos all seem to get when they are sent to DC.
Nah, you can keep your tainted civility demands. I’ll keep my principles.
