Blame Obama First
Washington Free Beacon ^ | Matthew Continetti

On June 12, as al Qaeda forces marched toward Baghdad, John McCain spoke on the Senate floor. Noting that the al Qaeda affiliate ISIS has conquered a third of Iraqi territory, has overrun the city of Mosul, has captured abandoned American equipment, and has stolen more than $400 million in cash reserves, McCain said that the enemies of the United States are on the verge of a strategic victory. Only a major course correction, McCain went on, might prevent the emergence of an al Qaeda state that stretches from eastern Syria to the outskirts of Baghdad. “It’s time that the president got a new national security team,” he said.

Criticism of that team—of Obama’s National Security Adviser, his Secretaries of Defense and State, and his top foreign policy speechwriter—has been mounting. “This is what happens when hacks take over foreign policy,” Kim Strassel wrote last week in a devastating Wall Street Journal column. The criticism is bipartisan. Col. Jack Jacobs, a NBC military analyst, said the other day that the Obama team “most decidedly” is weak, “and isolated, and a lot of decisions it makes are either ill considered or do not consider everything that needs to be considered.” David Ignatius is blunt: “The administration,” he said on Morning Joe, “is going to have to step up.”

"The first thing I think we need to do,” McCain said on the Senate floor, “is call together the people that succeeded in Iraq, those that have been retired, and get together that group and place them in positions of responsibility so that they can develop a policy to reverse this tide of radical Islamic extremism, which directly threatens the security of the United States of America.”

McCain is dreaming.

As he often is! But , in his own words, Barack Obama would make a fine president.

If McCain had displayed some foundational principles and not run such a pathetic campaign, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

I blame McCain

Gates, Panetta, Clinton, and Petraeus are celebrities who had the wit and stature to disagree with Obama.

But never did, did they?

I agree mostly with the author but that one sentence makes me wince. There are very few pundits who will simply say, or write, something without finding some way to equivocate.

The ‘Obama Touch’ as you describe it has been the goal from day 1 of this administration. If you don’t believe me, just ask Valerie Jarrett.

I’m ok with blaming MCCain or Obamo for the current collapse taking place in the Middle East. But, the fact is this East/West Muslim/judo-Christian confrontation has been going on since the 7th century. For the U.S. Specifically, it’s been going on since the Barbary Wars. In fact, we tried paying them off with tribute but they just took our money and continued to hi-jack Ouse ships and put our sailers into slavery. It wasn’t until we got tough with them (killed the bastards) that they stopped. And, that’s how it’s been throughout the history of the two cultures; during periods when the west dominated them (i.e. The period of colonialism) that their aggression became dormant or at least a low percolation. Now, with the west wanting to make nice and apply their “can’t we all just get along” strategy Muslims correctly see weakness an are obviously taking advantage of it. And so it goes......

I wish I could ask him: “Can we be afraid of an Obama presidency NOW, Senator McCain?”

Babylon's Covert War relies on solid research and the author's own expert anti-terrorist expertise to build its compelling argument that Islamic terror is something the West has been grappling with for hundreds of years. Written with clarity and an insider's perspective of the war on terror, J.H. White has written a book that will provoke some and anger others, while it enlightens anyone concerned with the current threats of international radicalism.

Definitely CO-CONSPIRATORS but also Silent Witnesses. Their silence is deafening.
When the ‘purge’ starts it should drop back to GHWB as he was the ‘first’ to publicly promote and seemingly push the NWO.

We should have gotten out of the UN way back when but probably lost our chance for seemingly forever when Reagan didn’t ‘do it’.

BUSH I rode on RR’s coattails for 4 years, for an intelligent man, he sure fell into the Libs well baited ‘trap’, then Perot made it personal and a ‘charming’ Loud Mouth - straight out of the Eddie Haskell role - that was offered up to shut him up assumed control. (Those of us that ‘knew’ recognized WJC as the kid in school that everyone’s mother said “Why can’t you be more like Billy” when WE knew that Billy was the Biggest Liar and BS’er in the school, but always managed to push the blame elsewhere.)
‘WE’ had the ‘goods’ on Clinton for his 2nd run - when even an empty suit should have won - ‘we’ were presented with one Bob Dole...maybe a fine man but NOT Presidential material at that time.
We get ‘rid of’ Clinton and HILLARY arose from the ashes like a ‘Giant Phoenix’.
We get Bush II and as bad as algore is/was he almost beat ‘OUR’ choice. With an R House and Senate, W didn’t see a bill he didn’t like and the R’s just turned into a spending machine like the D’s have been.
If the Libs run any viable candidate other than Kerry, W probably doesn’t do a 2nd term. It took the ‘Vets’ to bring Kerry and his BS’n ways to the light of day.
W probably cost the R’s the ‘3 Spot’ for generations to come.
The ‘idiot faction’ of the R party dangled Jeb and now want to bring back Romney.
May as well save the money and time for a campaign if ‘they’ are going to usher Mitt through a second time.

""The first thing I think we need to do,” McCain said on the Senate floor, “is call together the people that succeeded in Iraq, those that have been retired, and get together that group and place them in positions of responsibility so that they can develop a policy to reverse this tide of radical Islamic extremism, which directly threatens the security of the United States of America.”

Remove & hold accountable every elected official, including McCain who either stood aside or supported Obama as he fundamentally transformed American domestic and foreign policy agendas.

The global consequences of the US 2008 election. . . Obama promised to end the war in Iraq, close GITMO, redirect attention to Afghanistan among other domestic items on his 'fundamental transformation' [of America] agenda.

In his book "Audacity of Hope" page 261 he wrote: 'I will stand with them [Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.' Once he took the oath of office, he bowed to the Saudi King and later proclaimed, ‘The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam’.

As CiC he shifted our military's RoE in Muslim lands to the clear disadvantage our troops and that of American interests resulting with an injury & body count of our troops surpassing the totals all eight years of the previous administration's. Where was the msm daily body count?

As the drawdown of America's battle weary troops in Iraq and Afghanistan commenced under this CiC's direction, remaining military equipment was abandoned to local authorities our troops were training.

GITMO (enemy) "detainees" (why weren't they prosecuted?) have been steadily and quietly returned to the battlefield until last month when Obama's poll numbers were in steady decline due to snowballing scandals erupting domestically. In an effort to jolt his popularity back into gear, his administration arranged for the "rescue"/exchange of one Army deserter for five of GITMO's high value al-Qaeda generals.

These five high-value GITMO detainees were esssentially on US taxpayer funded sabatical, protected from the preparing battlefields abroad. Over the last decade+ these murdering ne'er-do-wells were not prosecuted, rather they were well rested, well nourished psychically - having been provided US taxpayer funded Mecca oriented toilets, prayer rugs, and korans which were handled by brainwashed military security personel trained to don white gloves as 'respect'.

These detainees were nourished physically with halal compliant menus SERVED daily. Even regular entertainment for these violent 'detainees' was paid for by American taxpayers.

American troops guarding/serving these vile 'detainees' suffered through daily taunts at the GITMO Madrassa having been spit at, fecal concoctions tossed at them, verbally cursed (even through detainee devout prayers five times a day) as well as being physically assaulted in return.

Every GITMO detainee received consistent and immediate medical attention which surpasses the level and efficiency of care our own military veterans receive .

Entering the lame duck phase of this administration's term, it appears the above was a set up for a war which has been preplanned and prepared against US interests abroad and domestically for quite some time.

As 800 ISIS/ISIL 'militants' defeat 30,000US trained Iraqi soldiers, take control of abandoned military assets like blackhawk helicopters, US Armored Humvees, emptied banks to become more wealthy than al-Qaeda ever could dream in just a period of weeks, our current occupant of the oval office attends fancy political fund raisers and goes golfing. Attorney General Eric Holder opens the floodgates on our southern border permitting extremely violent gang members, cartel homies, OTM ner'do wells and innumerable 'children' refugees stream uninterrupted into holding pens popping up at military facilities on the border and/or flown/bussed into nearby states for further 'processing'.

Those paying attention over the last dozen years have been on high alert for some time, while those reading today’s headlines are just now becoming aware of the treason unfolding on a daily basis.

All those Iraqi and Afghani men trained by our military now have all that abandoned military equipment to turn against those who would challenge the battle for the resurgent caliphate - courtesy of Obama and his minions who dare not challenge his racial qualifications.

Nice of McCain to speak up after 1/3 of Iraq has been taken over. Obama was sleeping at the wheel and McCain was along for the ride.
