America's Longest Running Antique Car Show (Greenfield Village-Dearborn, Mi.)

Rev it up with hundreds of authentic vehicles from the 1890s through 1932 at America’s longest-running antique car show. Open ’til 9pm on Saturday night!

For one weekend a year, we celebrate the triumphs of the earliest years of the automotive industry. It is a glorious spectacle, as the streets and grounds of Greenfield Village fill with the sights, sounds and smells of hundreds of authentic vehicles made from the 1890s through 1932. Wander through the village and talk to owners about their treasured vehicles. Watch drivers engage in games of skill, see a Model T assembled in just minutes, or just sit back and enjoy our experts sharing "car talks" while historic vehicles parade past. There’s the Saturday Gaslight Tour, too, and a live orchestra performing favorite dance tunes of the 1920s ’til 9pm. A one-of-a-kind event for cars and the people who love them.

You’re not using the right name. According to my wife, the facility is officially known as “Greenfield Village, I love that place.”

When we lived in Michigan, we had annual passes.

We went over there a half dozen times on school field trips and many more times with my sisters.

Contrast this story with one on Yahoo: https://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-midlife-crisis-cars-father-day-100050919.html

Really crappy new cars except for the Challenger. I just like its look.

Somewhat confusing? I recall when we first joined 10 or so years ago the name confusion was present then.

Thanks for your comment.

Once the caliphate takes full control of Dearbornistan, how long will they tolerate the cross on the Martha Mary Chapel? Oh wait , tolerance and islime are not compatible terms.

I have a picture I clipped out of the May 29, 2012 People’s Detroit News which shows a bunch of islamic vermin in their portable pup tents with their demon seed around them. The caption reads “During the parade, miniature flags were handed out to children who scrambled close to the curb then reaching for them and then waved the flags as the veterans passed by.” The parade was the annual Dearbornistan Memorial Day Parade. None of the “people” captured in the picture is shown holding a flag, not even the black flag.

Later in the day, so I’m advised, they did planning for that year’s annual arabhyphenamerikan festival where it was common to beat infidels (a.k.a. Christians) upon the public streets closed off for their pre-jihad celebration.

They don’t make cars like them anymore. I have 3 antique dream cars - a Pope Hartford 1913 vintage, a Stutz Bearcat and a Dusenberg.

True, they don't and with good reason. The main reason is "economy of scale".

Is the statue of former Mayor Orvie Hubbard (aka by some as "The Dictator of Dearborn") still standing in front of Dearborn City Hall?

If you ever get a chance to go to Greenfield Village, its worth the visit and its a lot more than cars.

It is just like Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts or Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, a living museum
