It's crunch time at the Supreme Court, where the justices are racing to issue opinions in 17 cases over the next two weeks.

The religious rights of corporations, the speech rights of abortion protesters and the privacy rights of people under arrest are among the significant issues that are so far unresolved

They are not hurried. Only waiting for Jarrett and/or Soros to tell them what they should do a la Roberts and ACA!

Not to be too flippant, but, wonder what Anthony Kennedy thinks. I’m sure there are some 5-4 decisions pending, in which the lineup of the 4 liberals is not in doubt.

There are only five Justices who decide cases. The other four are anticonstitution socialists who take their marching orders from the radical left.

I don't know why they bother, nobody enforces the laws these days anyway. If they agree with the dems, then it's ironclad, but if it doesn't, then the law doesn't matter. The SCOTUS had rendered itself totally irrelevant.

You know...I dunno, maybe it’s just some crazy ass idea but I am getting the distinct impression that electing principled people might...possibly....matter.

I really thing there’s some truth to it!

I think this court fell and broke it’s head years ago.

If the Supreme Court were working as it was designed, then nobody would care a whit about what decisions they are planning on issuing in the next week. But because the court has been politicized and the rule of law has been trumped by political ideology, every decision these nine demented old farts makes affects the future of our children and grandchildren in ways that were never imagined in 1789.

Every decision these days is 5/4 and thus the decision of one person elected by nobody changes the course of history for the next generation.

I think that in order for the court to make any ruling on the constitutionality of an issue that the court should have to have a vote of 7-2 or better. Then maybe they would rule in accordance with the law rather than their own political ideology.

I’m guessing they will just punt on more than a few. Are they compelled to make a ruling?

7-2 court approval would put the ‘G’ in the word Gridlock. They’d be worse than congress, and their ‘powerful stature’ in the eye of the public would swiftly dissolve like a sugar cube in a cup of coffee. After that happens, you will see the overt rise of ‘community courts’, such as those based on Sharia Law, or the International Law of Brussels.

Question for Supreme Court Watchers/Experts:

Is there still the possibility of Supreme Court retirements, nominations and successful Senate approval during this session of Congress?

This is an important issue considering the fact that we may, just may, have a GOP majority Senate in 2015.

The entire Court is a joke. Forget Liberal or Conservative ... these justices keep chipping away at rights, giving corporations and the State absurd powers over us.

Those that think 4 justices are “conservative” haven’t been paying much attention.

Note AP's dodging of the Issue of Obamacare Vs Religions rights, saying it is about "The religious rights of corporations"

I believe this is an attempt to hide the issue from the American Public and to protect Obama and the progressive socialists.

If parents were making sure that their kids were being taught the Constitution as the Founding States had meant for it to be understood, then there is the questions as to how young a person can be and still decide the constitutionality of an issue reasonably well.

In fact, activist justices probably have to take the time to consider, “how are we going to bluff this issue?”

Prediction: NONE will be 2nd Amendment cases. Those cause the Justices to be shunned from the DC wine-and-dine circuit, and possibly cause them to be in danger of blackmail from Broncobama and whoever is controlling him.
