Twitter conservatives are having a field day with the latest effort by a group of religious organizations backing Hillary Clinton for president, ridiculing a Twitter post where the former first lady claims the Bible as an everlasting influence on her life.
Here is the post, put out by Faith4Hillary, a group that last made news in mid-May when it announced bumper stickers available touting Clintons nascent presidential campaign.
To be charitable, the influence of the Bible is not the first thing that comes to most peoples minds when they think about the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Nor is her trouble-ridden tenure as secretary of state no matter what her partisans might say. Nor, for that matter, is her eminently forgettable single-term Senate career, which consisted mainly of keeping her in the headlines long enough to launch a failed presidential campaign in 2008.
Lets face it, the influence of the Bible pales compared to the influence of Bill the known liar, adulterer and widely suspected rapist who carried Hillary into the national eye in 1992 that she hasnt left since.
Twitter responses were not charitable.
Heres a sample, via Twitchy.com.
Some focused on Hillarys widely perceived problems with telling what most of us think of as the truth.
Others hit on Hillarys extreme pro-abortion views. In the Bill and Hillary Clinton formulation, abortion should be safe, legal and rare, with rare being defined as whenever a pregnant woman wishes to exercise her right to have one. (In March, Clinton gave a speech calling the importance of access to abortion on demand a bedrock truth. )
But for others, it was the one elment of clintons tenure as secretary of state that will always stand out: the terrorist attack in Benghazi that left an American ambassador, a State Department staffer and two men on a security detail dead, and left a cloud of lies over Washington that hasnt dispersed to this day.
And its a cloud that will overshadow any presidential run in 2016, regardless of media complicity in keeping it off the American publics radar.
Does it?
To paraphrase a former president under much less serious circumstances, that all depends upon what your meaning of the word does is.
Got it.
I believe this was George Lackoff’s “framing” advice.
The Satanic Bible is a collection of essays, observations, and rituals published by Anton LaVey in 1969.
Americans have already demonstrated how disengaged and clueless they are.
I believe this was George Lackoff’s “framing” advice.
Oh, and she’s obviously brain-damaged.
I believe it.
Everything she does works to destroy its teachings, so she must be guided by it.
“I ain’t no ways tarrrrrred”! Da folks love her! She does freebies and handouts the same way Obama does.
I didn’t know Rules for Radicals (obastard’s bible other than the quaran) was published in 196@...
1969...
Oh, so now it’s Saint Hitlery!
Well hitlary was 22 back then so it was timely in developing her world view, just after the liberal college professors completed their programming.
Hey - if she claims she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary who first climbed Mt. Everest who are we to question her veracity????
This is tried and true pure Clinton Demagogma!
No lie to big or small...
...too big or small...
"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."
Don SurberDon Surber:
I’m beginning to think he DNC is going to run Satan - horns and all - on the 2016 ticket so Hillary is doing her best to make him look like the better choice.
Hard to believe a Christian would make a big deal of celebrating most Islamic traditions (while in and out of the WH); and having an assistant who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Freedom of religion is important .. but cultivating close associations with an organization whose objective is to KILL CHRISTIANS .. well, that just isn’t something most Bible readers would do. But then, Mrs. Clinton is not like “most Bible readers”.
As usual, I believe Mrs. Clinton wrongly assumes that all Christians are STUPID .. and therefore, she can spew her “guided by the Bible” all she wants .. but those of us who really do believe in the Bible, know that everything she does is about POLITICS.
