With much of Iraqs wheat production coming from Northern Iraq and nearly all of Iraqs water resources flowing through areas under ISIS control, Iraqs food security may be facing a severe threat. Iraq has about two thirds of this years wheat crop harvested, but this will not be adequate without additional imports, aside from the questions and logistical problems that are implicit given the current security and political crisis.

Hmmm, ISIS controls the water now for central and southern Iraq. The Ukraine controls the water that goes to the Crimea. Water wars ahead.
On the other hand much other shipping comes from the south.
