New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) isn't losing any sleep over the bridge scandal plaguing his administration, and he doesn't want it to weigh on donors should he decide to launch a 2016 presidential bid.
The Los Angeles Times reported Christie told a group of 300 Republican donors Saturday at Mitt Romney's political retreat in Utah that the controversy over lane closures on the George Washington Bridge was just an attempt for his political opponents to gain "more altitude."
"Don't be so nervous," Christie told the donors, as quoted by the Los Angeles Times.
Im not that worried about it. I hope none of you are worried about it, though I expect some of you are, he added. But youll get over it. It will be fine.
The Washington Post reported that Christie also drew laughs from the crowd when he played a video of himself demonstrating the "evolution of dad dancing" with "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon, which included a "This Bridge Is Closed" dance move. So clearly he's moved on, even as one of his aides recently gave testimony that conflicted with the work of lawyers who cleared the governor of any wrongdoing in the lane closures.
You will forget.
You will forget.
You will forget.
Honey, have you seen my teeth?
comparing the bridge scandal to any of Hillary’s scandals? thats like comparing a child sneaking in a gun shaped pop-tart into school to a chicago style mafia hit.
There is no moral equivalency, period. This crap about our creep is not as bad as your creep is exactly what has gotten us to this point. Either we stand on principle or we die without it.
The tone was by turns gloomy and revivalist. One panel, on how to broaden the Republicans appeal, was modeled after The View, the womens talk show on ABC. Ana Navarro, a strategist who has urged Republicans to reach out to Hispanics, ran the panel, which featured Mary Bono, a Republican former congresswoman, and Ms. Love, who would become the first black woman in the Republican caucus if she won this year.
To illustrate the partys difficulties, Ms. Navarro talked about the blowback faced by Senator Rob Portman of Ohio when he announced last year that his son, who is gay, had persuaded him to drop his opposition to same-sex marriage.
How can we be the party of family unity when we attack Rob Portman for supporting his son? Ms. Navarro asked.

Waiting till they get into the books for the funds after Sandy. The Dems are being quiet. It’ll come.
True. Isn’t it amazing how it seems the Republican establishment always raises their next great hope after the Democrats tell them who they are not against instead of looking at where their venomous attacks are directed?
But you won't, christie.
