Scott Walker is already thinking about how to defeat Hillary Clinton.

Have to wonder why every poll you see does not give Walker as an option.

Does he have no chance do its rediculous to include him.....or do the DC power brokers fear him so much they don’t want to let people even consider him.

I think his immediate concern should be re-election WI which is far from assured at this point.

I agree.
I like Walker but if he cant get re-elected he becomes just another GOP loser.

Assuming he gets re-elected, he would certainly be one of my top choices for POTUS should he decide to run.

“You gotta move it from a personality race, because if it’s a personality race, you got a third Clinton term,”

Because she just radiates likeability and competence I guess.

“My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I'm glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know… the remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn’t do that and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a major accomplishment.”

It won't be hers. It will be her husband combined with her championing the 'woman in the white house' meme to build up those votes. The rest will be....'we need to get back to what we were doing in the 90s' - Bush and Obama screwed it up.

This is ironic, because if I was Romney's campaign chief, that would have been my basis, too, and add a few years. Run against 15 years of bad Washington policy...housing bubble, etc.

I agree, its going to take a real candidate to beat off the Christie and Bush's,
the Newt/Santorum/Bachman type losers wont be able to do it anymore than they did in 2012.

If he loses this year then its not pretty.

Of course, if he loses he’s out of consideration.

What amazed me in 2012 was the sheer chutzpah of Rick Santorum. He loses his Senate seat by a whopping 18% in a massive blowout, moves out of PA to DC to become a lobbyist then decides to run for POTUS. Same situation with Newt. Is forced to leave the Speakership under an ethical cloud. Moves out of GA to become yet another denizen of the beltway.

What IS the big attraction there, may I ask?

Big hit piece on Walker in the New Republic today. I think Walker wins reelection as governor handily. I think the Dems know this too. Therefore, the Dems are trying to strangle baby Walker before he gets out onto the national scene.

I am with you 100%. I have pointed that out here many times. It made me wonder if that's what some are looking for.

One interesting character to watch is Perry. He seems to have been training regarding communication and putting himself in the news by making fun of CA and NY pathetic job environments.

He might just surprise us this time. At least he hasn't been booted out of office.

Money? Power? But I am sure you already know that to be the case.

I like Perry. Would support him. Has the most experience. I would say that he and Walker are my two favorites at this point.

My two least favorites are Jeb and Gov. Rolie Polie.

Running for President (or even "contemplating" a run) is a great way to build yourself a big war chest of cash.

When you drop out eventually, you have a big pile of money you can use to be a player in the game. You can't just spend it on yachts and stuff, but you can dole it out in a manner that keeps you on the best guest lists and gets you invited to all the fun DC events.

That's why George Pataki ran for President three or four times.

You mean like one term Governor Mitt Romney of Mass?

Romney served one term. Did not run for re-election in MA.

When did Pataki run for POTUS?

I think I missed that election.
