Notice the report says “quality and ACCESS.”
100% guarentee we are No.1 in “quality” alone.
WTF- If you count access, of course we are not high on the list when the other countries are all socialized, single-payer.
THIS IS A NEWS HEADLINE.
Talk about trying to shape idiot Americans’ perceptions. Ugg, what a dirty trick.
Ocare is ruining access.
Good catch ...
This is from the leftists at LA Times ... count on one thing: THEY'RE LYING TO YOU.
About 20 years ago myself and some friends took the train from Winsor to Toronto to see Phantom of the Opera. While on the train, I talked with a Canadian lady who said she was going to Toronto to have a CT scan that had been scheduled 10 months prior............
Every time I talk to a liberal jackass who makes the claim that Canada's healthcare system is superior to ours, I point out the following statistic........And it should be noted that if the non life threatening injury was similar to mine, you can bet the wait time in Canada will be well over the 63 day average.....
Ontario leads the country in CT & MRI wait times reductionsOAKVILLE, ON, June 12, 2013 /CNW/
"Less than 10 years ago CT wait lists were 8-12 months long versus today's average of 35 days, and in many cases much less. MRI waits used to be 12-18 months and are now 63 days on average. This dramatic reduction and measurable improvement in patient care came about because the Ontario Ministry of Health listened to the advice of Ontario radiologist experts about how to effect change and provided the necessary tools so that better care was delivered sooner and locally," said Dr. Prieditis.
I live in the metro-Detroit area and my brother-in-law is an Oncologist. Back in the mid 90's when my parents were still alive, their closest friends lived in Windsor. Eileen was about 78 years old and her Windsor eye doctor discovered a tumor behind her eye. Unfortunately, she was going to have to wait 6 months before she could get into a hospital to have the tumor removed.
Eileen then contacted my brother-in-law who had her come in to see him and he was then able to arrange the appropriate surgery for her for the following Monday morning.
While the tumor turned out to be benign, it would have continued to grow, causing her to lose the eye long before she could ever get into the hospital........
