No difference at all since Putin was "elected" every bit as legitimately as Candyman was.

Meanwhile, this is just hitting Twitter, from the BBC’s Patrick Jackson:

“Ukraine asks rebels for truce at Luhansk airport to evacuate 120 bodies of soldiers.”

You must be awfully proud of them, since they butchered around 100 unarmed civilians in Shchastya, right?

Ethnic cleansing must be your thingy?

Putin was not democratically elected, unless you think that getting 99.4% of the vote from 99.5% of the voter base in Chechnya is somehow not symptomatic of massive electoral fraud in Putin's favor.

This was just two years ago. For every election where Putin was on the ballot, Chechnya has routinely given Putin 95%+ of the vote even as he ruthlessly suppressed dissension there. How do you explain that?

This is just breaking on Twitter. Did Lugansk Airport just fall to the rebels??????

Conflicting reports say that the 1,500 Paratroopers there either surrendered enmass, or have “left” the airport.

Tweets from about an hour ago said they were wanting a cease-fire.

Google Translated:

Unlike you, I don’t sling more accusations upon finding out that the evidence for your previous accusation turned out to be on shaky ground.

Post the evidence that Azov Battalion “butchered around 100 unarmed civilians in Shchastya” and we’ll see.

Another Tweet:

Airport defended by 25th & 80 paras.
25th defects, join NAF, shoots IL-76, attacks 80th.
80th surrenders.

You’re the one accusing Azov Battalion of “butcher[ing] around 100 unarmed civilians in Shchastya”. You have some gall telling me to go find evidence for a claim that you made, especially right after being asked for said evidence.

What do you call that?

Giving preference to domestic bidders.

How that translates in 'screwing over' foreign companies remains a mystery.

Well, if you plan to give preference to domestic bidders, why invite foreign bidders at all?

He can’t provide you with any evidence because it was invented out of whole cloth by Putin’s paid “journalists”. Interestingly, the Russian reporter who got blown up next to a Russian APC today was one of the authors of this slander and had also been reporting Ukrainian troop positions to the Russian forces. Journalist indeed.

Originally, someone was whining that a contract was given to the ‘lowest domestic bidder’. Aren’t tenders are all about picking a lowest bidder? And nobody is getting invited into tender, bidders are coming on their own.
As for preferences, government agencies in Russia obliged to pick either domestic or Belarussian, Ukrainian or Kazakhstani companies. If they are buying things, it must be made in one of the above nations. Picking from different countries is possible as an exception (for example if a quality of offered items or works is twice as good as domestic counterpart or if it’s a half price of domestic products). BTW, US or European companies are winning Russian tenders quite often. Surprisingly, these are Chinese companies which are the most discriminated there.
