US Urges 'Restraint' in Search for Kidnapped Teenagers

The United States on Wednesday called on both Israel and the Palestinian Arabs to "show restraint" as Israel tightened their grip on Hamas hunting for three kidnapped teenagers, AFP reports.

"We recognize this is an incredibly sensitive and difficult circumstance on the ground, and we feel all sides should exercise restraint," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters.

Israeli troops have pressed their biggest arrest operation in years, imposing a tight lockdown on huge swathes of Judea and Samaria in the hunt for the three boys kidnapped six days ago.

So far, there has been no claim of responsibility for the teens' disappearance. However, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu revealed Sunday afternoon that Israeli intelligence had identified the kidnappers as Hamas members.

"Hamas terrorists carried out Thursday's kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers. We know that for a fact," said Netanyahu in an official statement. "These teenagers were kidnapped and the kidnapping was carried out by Hamas members. Hamas denials do not change this fact."

Since the Israeli searches began early Friday, troops have arrested 240 Palestinian Arabs - most or all of whom are affiliated with Hamas - as well as searched more than 800 locations and raided 10 Hamas-run institutions, the army said.

300 is the magic number. Arrest 60 more. Offer to release them in exchange for three alive kids, 100 less for each dead kid. That's what I call 'restraint'.

Ask for a list of 300 names and release them with neck collars full of explosives. Detonate when the teens are safe. That is restraint.

Show restraint? I would suggest take one Hamas prisoner each day and publicly behead him, her, or it till the kids are returned.

You don’t feel foreign policy. You think it. Ignorance on display.

Tell Obama/Kerry/anyone else, to find a brick of salt and pound it squarely into their point of liberalism.

I prefer land... push the boundary line a few meters for every attack, kidnapping, and death. The muzzies don’t care about arrests... they can bargain them back. They care about land.

Actually the muzzies are restraining those kids to begin with. Restraint is the whole problem.

I urge the police to exercise restraint if ever they get a call to Psaki’s house at 3am for a report of a home invasion. Wouldn’t want the cops to escalate the situation. In fact, just let the cops take off and go home.

Boundary line? 18 years after Oslo, there still isn’t a coherent boundary line. But maybe they can build a new house in Judah and Samaria for every Israeli victim of an attack.

Given recent foreign policy “successes” I would expect the israelis to sooner consult a magic 8 ball for guidance than our kakistocrats.

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. He most grievously failed to disappoint me. I knew from the get-go that he’d say something just about this sh!tty and predictable, and he fully met my expectations.
