Dallas County commissioners unanimously passed a Juneteenth resolution on Tuesday that appeared to be another routine proclamation commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. But the resolution went further by including a list of injustices, and then stating in the final paragraph that blacks' suffering should be "satisfied with monetary and substantial reparations." . . .
Commissioners admitted afterward they hadn't read the resolution before voting. . .
The vote is nonbinding, so no reparations — through payments or other means — will be made.

It was divine intervention that made it pass.
The lone black member of that board is the one who just threw that condition into the mix, without any prior discussion or elaboration. They now realize he cannot be trusted to think objectively or outside of his little black box of concerns. We don’t need no stinkin reparations! There is enough opportunity today and most times the law is properly enforced. Live for the present, not to fight our greatgrandfather’s wars. You see where that attitude has kept the arabs; caught in the 7th century on the outside of progress angrily looking in.

There are no living Black Slaves in the US. Not sure how anyone can think they can get reparations for something they never lived through or were a part of

Everyone (except his constituents) in the Dallas area have known for literal decades that John Wiley Price is a total fraud and race baiter. He has made a fool of himself countless times.
My favorite John Wiley absurdity is the time he pitched a fit when a white commissioner used the term “black hole,” claiming it was a racist term.

Just imagine, if you will, that every member of the Dallas County Commissioners is a clone of Sheila Jackson Lee.

Well to make things fair, the members of the Dallas County Commission should forgo their pay for reparations.
Watch that happen.
Reparations paid in blood, lives and limbs between 1861 and 1865.
For every 5 slaves freed one white man gave his life, and others their limbs.

Rather than be viewed as serious requests for more freebies, this “stir-the-pot” issue should be viewed as being floated to protect the current status of (many) blacks as wards of the state. The welfare state is in a precarious position because of the number of non-blacks who have figured out how to game the system, and cuts are necessary to save the programs. This nonsense is to limit the cuts to “less-entitled” people.
