Spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Wednesday that in response to a request from the House Ways and Means Committee, "We did in fact do a search for all communications between Lois Lerner and any person within the Executive Office of the President (EOP) for this period.
"We found zero emails, sorry to disappoint, between Lois Lerner and anyone within the EOP during this period.
What happened Lerner's emails? a Fox News reporter asked Carney on Wednesday.
"Ed, I would refer you to the IRS, and they've answered this question. They -- you know, they can answer it again," Carney told Ed Henry.
But later on Wednesday, Politico reported that Lois Lerner's crashed hard drive -- now the subject of a congressional subpoena -- was recycled in 2011, in line with IRS protocol.
"A bad hard drive, like other broken Information Technology equipment, is sent to a recycler as part of our regular process, an IRS spokesman told Politico.
If there are “zero emails” between the WH and Lois Lerner, why are they trying so hard to hide them?
The emails exist on a server somewhere. I have had the hard drive crash on my computer and as soon as I connect to the company Microsoft Outlook server, it downloads ALL of my emails as though nothing happened.
I think we should all try that with the IRS when they ask for something. How do you think that would work out?!
If we are required to keep 7 years of records then the IRS should be required to do the same or CLOSE DOWN SHOP!
Anyone who doesn’t think the IRS should be SHUT DOWN doesn’t realize how corrupt they are!
Prove it!
Of course they sent no emails to each other. The big guy doesn’t use email! idiots!
There are no records of him telling lerner to use the full force of the irs against his political enemies.
Just another day here in the Kingdom of Lies
Oh, the President’s “office”, so, there WERE e-mails between Lerner and the WHITE HOUSE than, just none in the Presidents “office”?
Even if your hard drive crashes and even if you delete your emails from your account, the server still has them. The simple truth is that the IRS is lying.
There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, (abortion)
A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.
Proverbs 6:16-19
I’m a 15 years software guy, and have managed large projects, with network and security staff under me.
I can say, unequivocally, without any shadow of doubt (i.e I would send a man to the electric chair with more doubt) that emails like this do not disappear.
They originally lived on a server, likely a Microsoft Exchange Server, which services enterprise email accounts. They were backed up on a regular basis.
This is the same as telling a jury “the reason my DNA was found under the fingernails of the victim of the rape and my sperm DNA was found inside her is that my hard drive and her hard drove broke just after she had sent me a signed, scanned, notarized document that I was to deliver to her home a sperm sample in the amount of one angry orgasm and skin samples (with my blood) she said were for a science experiment she was doing proving that black people have 12% less white privilege compared to Latino-Euro-Aryans. I certainly never though a rogue Christian Conservative Monkey like George Bush would break into her house moments after and find it sexually arousing to spread those samples beneath her fingernails and then inject the sperm into her, misunderestimating that I would guess it was a friend of CHAINY out hunting and ‘spreading’ his ‘ammunition’ in Lois you know what wink wink. How gross! What a pig! I will spend the rest of my life hunting down the man who did this and I will bring him to justice. We will send a message to this man or woman or shemale or heshe or penguin person that this is unacceptable, no matter what color or gender nuance or white privilege the woman used against him to make his family poor and eat skittles, and doing this again will incur even higher costs and sanctions. And we will be very angry with him, and we will write him a letter telling him how angry we are.”
That is, in a nutshell, Obama’s case, and has been, since the first Liberal on the earth, a simple stupid amoeba, morphed into the virst virus, which is why I’m really pissed off at Ronald Reagan and his “I have a dream” speech.
Why do you think obama wouldn’t give up his blackberry, huh, huh? All his emails came in on it.
Put down the hooka and back away from the computer.
The meter is really not capable of measuring the “maximum” level of BS of which this Current Regime is capable. Soon they shall no longer even make a pretense of governing according to historic norms (for the USA), but move into the level not enjoyed since the height of the feudal system, with a strict hierarchy resting on a foundation of vassals and serfs, who are never to raise any objection to the behavior of the higher levels.
For simply failing to show sufficient obedience and humility, the knight could strike down the serf, even killing him on the spot, without fear of any recourse by the family of the serf. And if explanation was called for by the knight’s own superiors, the excuse was this indiscretion on the part of the serf, taking the knight’s word at face value.
At work, all my work emails reside on the corporate server, not my personal machine. I presume any large organization has it the same way.
One of my colleagues had a computer crash at least 4-5 years ago and couldn’t retrieve anything on her hard drive. The company sent it to an outside firm (IIRC cost about $400-500) and they were able to restore everything (or most everything - don’t recall specifics). We all know that there are firms out there that can do this. Given the Fed has regulations wrt to the retention of Fed email and other records, why on earth would they destroy a hard drive without restoring the data on that or another hard drive (rhetorical question). Doesn’t make sense, and I, like others, are not buying it in the least (and I wouldn’t know how to restore data if I had to - - just know it can be done via hard drive restoration and/or server storage).
The rumor is that Lois’s e-mails will reveal six or more senate democrats pushing her to investigate, stall and deny Conservative from donating money to their Conservative candidates in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.
I would also be willing to bet that someone on our side has copies and will use them at a time of their choosing.
Thumb in our eye. They know we know they’re lying and they know we know they’ll get away with it and there will be no consequences.
