If you think this sudden flood of illegal immigrant children is spontaneous, think again.
According to a “help wanted” Request For Information (RFI) posted on FedBizOpps.gov, the feds were looking for vendors to help escort unaccompanied alien children (UAC) in JANUARY of this year.
The specific vendor requirements state:
ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is seeking the services of a responsible vendor that shares the philosophy of treating all UAC with dignity and respect, while adhering to standard operating procedures and policies that allow for an effective, efficient, and incident free transport. The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air.

I tried calling both of the contact names listed on the page to see if they’d found a vendor yet, but got voicemail.
The question is, how in January, did the U.S. government know up to 65,000 unaccompanied illegal alien children would be arriving?
Please send me evidence that this is not an orchestrated invasion, and I will remove my tinfoil hat.

They may have gotten a better ad response had they used a different job title than ‘ESCORT SERVICE’. They probably wondered why they were getting so many ‘likes’ from NAMBLA.
Part of the "need" identified in the draft SOW (see above for link):
ICE is seeking the services of a highly-responsible vendor that fully embraces the philosophy of treating all UAC with dignity and respect, while adhering to standard operating procedures and policies that allow for effective, efficient, and incident-free transport. The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent UAC ranging from infants to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for UAC or family groups, to include both male and female juveniles. It is critical for the contractor to provide staff that are well qualified and trained to deal with this vulnerable population.
UAC escorts vary significantly in lead times and demand (some days having zero demand). Demand occurs on both weekdays and weekends, and escorted travel may include up to two overnights on travel. For this reason, the Contractor must have an on-call, flexible, responsive, and well-trained staff to meet ERO requirements.
Escort services under this contract shall include, but are not limited to, assisting with:
- transferring physical custody of UAC from DHS to Health and Human Services (HHS) care via ground or air methods of transportation (charter or commercial carrier);
- coordinating/communicating with DHS and HHS staff;
- travel coordination;
- generating transport documents, records, and reports;
- providing UAC with timely meals, snacks, and drinks;
- providing and issuing clothing and other articles as needed;
- providing, seeking or coordinating medical care if a UAC becomes ill while in transit;
- property inventory;
- maintaining/stocking daily supplies;
- drafting reports; and,
- limited stationary guard services to accommodate for trip disruptions due to inclement weather, faulty equipment, transport disruptions, or other exigent circumstances.
Interesting that the requirements do NOT include shipping these "UACs" back to their home countries.
