Won’t work and anyway it’s irrelevant.
A culture is really it’s DNA:
Look at France vs. Japan.
The first is flooded with aliens and pays up the whazoo to “keep France French” —language cops galore, Quebec same same.
Meanwhile Japan is flooooded with foreign loan words, but regards the 1% foreigner pop of Tokyo as a foreigner flood.
WHICH of the two will remain ?
Can’t use “Dick Head” anymore?
One aspect of English has always been to incorporate foreign terms into it. It’s one of the things that makes it “the international language”.
Wasn’t that a Bushnami?
(wish I had the cyrillic utility....)
I wouldn’t take a `taksi’, I would drive my `avtomovil’. Don’t care for `vodka’ but I do like my `viski’.
Anyway, Zhirinovskii has been nothing but trouble since the USSR fell. Putin I’m sure finds him useful.

On windows, start → all programs → accessories → system tools → character map, find a font with the characters (times new roman, for example), select your characters, copy, and paste.
Not sure how it works on windows 8...
At home, I have a Cyrillic keyboard layout installed so I just have to alt-shift to get to them. Or alt-space on my Mac.
