Guess this criminal defense attorney (former?) doesn't want to include the 50% that were killed with a knife huh? I feel bad his son was killed but I didn't do it and none of my weapons did it. (of course they are lying in a watery grave due to a boating accident) Is he going after BMW for their role in the attacks? Sorry dad, you get no special privilege from me. Then again, since his last name is martinez I guess he's one of the protected class.

Hey! When your 15 minutes appear, you have to grab for the brass ring! You only get one shot. He’ll be rubbing elbows with the America-hating Kenyan boy before he decides to go home. If he decides to go home. He’s riding the gravy train now.

Gun rights? Methinks the title of the story is just a little misleading...

The title of terh article said Daddy was going to DC to ‘fight for gun rights’ when he actually is a gun grabber.

Let me be the first to call “Presstitution” on that title.

You are correct. It should be “to fight AGAINST gun rights”.

“...to fight for gun rights.”

Good for him. If his now deceased son had been able to easily buy and carry a gun he might still be alive./s (I’m guessing the reporter meant fight AGAINST gun rights, but that doesn’t spin very well.) Probably is thinking “..the right to be free of the dangers of guns.”

Misleading headline. He’s not going to Washington to fight for gun rights at all

Sorry for your loss.
Please do not add to a wrong by doing more wrong.
I had nothing to do with your sons death nor did 350 some million other American citizens. Do not make us lose something to make yourself feel better...

The moment this guy opened his trap I knew he was a liberal loon. I am sorry he lost his son but my respect for him disappears the minute he wants to take away MY right to protect myself

I was stunned to see Mr. Martinez leading gun grabbing cheers in a stadium less than 72 hours after his sons murder. I hear nothing about a wife or the deceased mans mother. Maybe Martinez is sincere in his grief but has no one in private life to share it with. Maybe he is alone except for his older brother. Hopefully Peter Rodgers has his present wife to help keep the pushy zealots like Martinez at bay.

I love the First Amendment, BUT...grieving parents should not be permitted to speak about legislation for at least two years.

We’re making tons of bad laws on the basis of gut wrenching, emotive anecdotes.

Odd headline — the story reads as though he intends to fight AGASINT the rights of Americans.

NOT for them.

Absolutely. He gave a 45 minute speech berating gun rights, etc. .....Who invited him to DC?

Just like Trayvon’s mother has done, in spite of the fact that she gave him up when he was pre-school age. Her baby daddy joined her on their ‘celebrity tour’, so apparently gave up his live-in girlfriend at the time so he could cash in, as well.
