Russia denies troop buildup at Ukraine border

The Kremlin on Friday denied a statement by NATO suggesting Russia was building up troops on the frontier with Ukraine but said Moscow had brought in more border guards because of security concerns.

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said on Thursday that at least a few thousand more Russian troops were now at the frontier, and called it a regrettable step backwards following an earlier withdrawal from the border.

"There has been no build-up," Yuri Ushakov, President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy adviser, told reporters.

He said Russia was concerned about security at the border and added: "This means just the border guards are getting a few reinforcements, and troops have been withdrawn."

See the Russians are doing what everyone was demanding. Securing their border. Maybe they could secure ours. We can't seem to.

The Russian troops moving to the border are there to facilitate the trafficking of arms and mercenaries to Ukraine. LOL

You keep repeating the same fatuous claim that by Russia lining up an invasion force at the Ukrainian border and then facilitating Russian armor and men to cross the border this is somehow is equivalent to doing as “everyone was demanding”. On what planet does that even begin to make any kind of sense?

Are you claiming that “everyone” was demanding that thousands of Russian soldiers cross the Ukrainian border and wage a terror campaign in Ukraine? Because that is what is happening.

Are you claiming that “everyone” was demanding that dozens of Russian tanks invade Ukraine? Because that has been happening. Even more armor crossed the Ukrainian border today from Russian.

Please explain for us your logic. I am quite curious to hear it.

Everyone is demanding the Russians stop the flow of fighters in Ukraine and now that they are you are outraged. Make up your mind. You are either for it or against it.

Begin by checking Russia Today and RIA Novosti.

Oh, forgot to mention: the logic is quite simple, really.

Russia good.
Ukraine bad.

Hilarious.

Did you neglect to post the story from Russia Today wherein Ukraine invaded Russia and annexed some of her territory?

Wow, the way you worded this it sounds like you believe that the flow is of Ukrainians coming across the border into Russia.

Russia can easily stop the flow of Russians into Ukraine. Stop ordering them to do so. Or enabling them to do so.

Speech by Andrei Illarionov at NATO PA Session in Vilnius

First point. You may hear statements that this is ‘the Ukrainian crisis’ or that this is ‘the crisis in Ukraine’. It is incorrect. It is neither ‘the crisis in Ukraine’, nor ‘the Ukrainian crisis’. This is not an internal affair of Ukraine. This is a war. This is the Russian-Ukrainian war. To be correct, this is the Mr Putin’s war against Ukraine.

And this war is only an introductory chapter of a much larger event which can be called and actually has already been called ‘War’, ‘World War’, ‘the Fourth World War’. I’ll try to elaborate this later. It is not my choice of picking this particular term. It is the term that is being used by the Kremlin propaganda machine – the Fourth World War being waged now by Russia against the rest of the world.

Russians stop the flow of fighters into Ukraine? The Russians are the flow of fighters into Ukraine!

Your inability to be truthful makes it evident you are in fact Russian, correct?

This just in Russia denies placing missiles in Cuba.

You can see here that Russian tanks never actually cross the border.

They can fly. Unlike your weak NATO tanks.

To be correct, this is the Mr Putin’s war against Ukraine.

Incorrect. Ukraine started this "war" or whatever you want to call it when a bunch of protesters were able to overthrow their own government. Putin just took advantage of the chaos to grab Crimea. They sure didn't put up a fight did they?

Then the provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk Declared themselves fee of the illegal government in Kiev much like the 13 colonies declared their independence from England. They are the ones pleading for Russia to come to their rescue.

Fourth World War? Did I miss one?

And there Russia was. Pure, benevolent, and innocent . . . until the Ukrainian Nazis threatened the very existence of the Sov, er, Russia itself. When it was forced to militarily occupy Ukraine in its own defense. Just like it occupied Georgia in 2008, and every other global superpower that surrounds it, and threatens its existence.
