In his first Congressional appearance since news of the lost Lois Lerner emails, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen was alternately attacked by Republicans and praised by Democrats who apologized to him for his treatment and called the investigation an “endless conspiracy theory” by Republicans.
Under oath before the House Ways and Means Committee, Koskinen restated what Congress had been told privately: that emails of Lerner and six other relevant IRS officials have been irretrievably lost because of crashes of their hard drives and servers.
Koskinen defended not telling Congress in numerous previous appearances about the email losses. In those appearances, he assured Congress that all the Lerner emails would be provided. Koskinen says his testimony at that time wasn’t dishonest because he was going to provide all the emails “we had.” He also said that he wasn’t fully aware of the crashed hard drives and the status of the lost emails until April or May.
Koskinen argued that he has been honest and transparent and that the fuss today is “a result of us providing you a full accounting.”
“Why should anyone believe you?” asked Kevin Brady (R-Texas).
“I want to apologize to you for the way you’ve been treated this morning,” said Rep. Elijah Cummings (R-Maryland) to Koskinen. Cummings then offered Koskinen time to say whatever he wanted.

Considering that Cummings was one of those involved in the targeting of Conservatives he is VERY pleased the emails are gone..I don’t need an IRS Commissioner to tell me what happened..the emails were destroyed, to protect Obama, Jarrett, the DOJ, and members of Congress who were behind the targeting..a 2 year old could figure that out
It’s his constituents who owe us an apology. Don’t hold your breath.
Hang them all and hang the Senators and Representatives who pressured the IRS into doing this and hang the CIC and AG and everyone else in this administration.
Hang them all for treason, conspiracy to treason, perjury, and a whole list of other crimes.
Not only are they claiming that they “lost” the emails, they are also claiming that they only keep employee emails for 6 months anyway. These lies rank right up there with “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it”.

Bring in the IT guys responsible for the backups, the managers don’t have a clue how the backup works.

So, the negro nazi party used the IRS like its gestapo.
Since there is no rule of law in America anymore, what difference does it make now?
Its like the einsatzgruppen apologizing for kristallnacht.
But if you bring the IT guys in, they might actually tell the truth. The Obama administration and the RATS in Congress wouldn't want that.

Actually, it depends on the ultimate goal.
If the goal is to get to the actual truth, questioning an Obama regime appointee under oath almost certainly will never lead to that result.
Rather, if the goal is to take a page from the Demo/Commie playbook and elevate symbolism over substance, then the destruction of physical evidence (such as the hard drive) by Obamunist criminal conspirators is the kind of symbolic evidence of government corruption that even the most IQ-challenged, tech-unsavvy, low-information voter can comprehend.
In Obama’s America, THEY make the rules..they want Conservatism to die..that was the main objective..that is why the emails disappeared, they were deleted, destroyed, whatever word people want to use..those emails would have told the story about EVERYTHING..Obama was part of it, but to me the main suspect is Valerie Jarrett, Obama can’t wipe his own ass without Jarrett showing him how it’s done..she had said Obama’s enemies would suffer after 2012, turns out she started way before then..no wonder Obama said there was not a “Smidgen of evidence” of corruption..he already knew the damaging evidence was gone

Perhaps the Republicans should subpoena the current hard drives of the same officials and have them independently tested for erased files. We might discover the IRS and administration is lying about the hard drive crash. It may be ostensibly crashed hard drives are actually still in the computers being used. Plus, you never know if the current hard drives have messages relating to the coverup.
