Well at that time Rome owned it all, so the comparison isn’t really there. This was all for the sake of a Roman census.
I heard two holy folk on EWTN the other day go on about the Catholic version of WWJD regarding these kids. You can imagine what the gist of their idea was. I was thinking to call in and see if they thought the Pope would mind if the good folks at the Vatican City took in all these kids in to be raised in that country.
