'Lost' IRS emails: Get real, Team Obama, we’re not that gullible
FoxNews ^ | June 17, 2014 | Jay Sekulow

Indeed, in the aftermath of this absurd assertion, the response from experts was overwhelming: The story makes no sense. IRS emails were not permanently stored on Lois Lerner’s computer alone (of course) but on servers that preserve records. They would remain there even if Lerner decided to do something outrageous like light her computer on fire in an effort to hide her criminal activity.

Ideology trumps the Constitution. That appears to be the Obama administration’s political doctrine in four simple words.

I know a lot about email systems and servers having designed and installed systems for the past 25 years. The IRS it appears uses Microsoft Exchange, by its very nature a client server email system, meaning that ALL emails for a person are housed on a server and synced up with the local client application (usually Outlook). A client in today’s multi device world can access their emails via laptops, desktops, smart phones all which BTW can keep an isolated local copy of the emails. If the agency uses blackberry as many do for email, there usually is an entirely SEPARATE email subsystem that is synced with the main Exchange server. A modern server environment consists of sophisticated redundant arrays of hard drives that are backed up on tape (tapes that are rotated and shipped off site for safe storage) or currently some systems are backed up in a cloud. Also in terms of disaster recovery often large enterprises will have an entire fail over system of servers that have actively updated copies of the Exchange files ready for use in case of a catastrophic server/system failure. So there are likely multiple copies of email files for these scoundrels from tapes to multiple hard drives to blackberries even home PC’s....and from what we know of the NSA any cellular data traffice like blackberries are likely to be on their servers too.

Not for nothing, but who roams the halls of justice these days?

Find the “girl” who didn’t restore the drive as required. Find out why.

So, they have them. They just don’t want anyone to see them.

I say start making a list of all the people that they are going to look at. If everyones emails start disappearing, I’d like to say that their goose is cooked, but with these folks, who knows.

Fundamental Transformation = We no longer back up data on redundant servers and tapes; we now save only locally on the client’s hard drive. We owe no apologies for this.

I believe the information on those “e-mails” is so damning that it would create a constitutional crisis that our founding fathers could never have imagined.

In this case, the crime is far worse then the attempted coverup. I believe that the Republican leadership is aware of the scandal, and has decided to let it go.

If prosecuted to the end, I am sure that you will find that the IRS, FBI and Administration were complicit in trying to suppress the Republicans regarding the 2012 election. Obama won because of the fraud and intimidation.

This would destroy the current administrations as well as America’s trust in government. The “powers that be” in Washington could not accept that, so both sides have agreed to a coverup - for their own self interest. They are biding their time until Obama leaves office and hope that everyone will forget about this scandal by then.

They don't even bother to make up plausible stories...

And their increasing in-your-face-because-you-can't-touch-us stance should be a huge red flag for the People. They must think they are prepared enough that they can quell anything that may get thrown at them if the People finally wake up and rouse to action.

If you ain't scared, you ain't paying attention.

Could this be cover for RINO 'pubs working with the administration to end the Tea Party?

Is everyone complicit? If not, wouldn't those surrounding Obama involved in the coverups and false stories be in jail? That would be the way to stop the coverups and illegal activities....implicate everyone who follows orders to do illegal things.

Ideology trumps the Constitution.

"Ideology" is the wrong word. It is apologetically tame. The correct word is POWER. Communists live for power above everything. Without it they are worthless, and they know it.

The Bill of Rights needs an enforcement clause:
from website of L. Neil Smith

http://www.ncc-1776.org/index.html

“Any official, appointed or elected, at any level of government, who attempts, through legislative act or other means, to nullify, evade, or avoid the provisions of the first ten amendments to this Constitution, or of the Thirteenth Amendment, shall be summarily removed from office, and, upon conviction, deprived of all pay and benefits, including pension, and sentenced to imprisonment for life.”

So we just let little Lois Lerner walk away with her nice fat pension and live out her life in the Boca DelVista development 4 condos...

They just arrested some 89 yo man for being a Nazi 69 years ago. LL needs to be arrested and hauled before a jury of her peers. She should have known better than to misuse her position of trust and authority and betray the American people.

LL needs to lose everything, including her freedom. Hopefully, the next LL will think twice before betraying the trust placed in their hands by the American people.

Actually, deleting the email would not have actually deleted the email. The delete action would have just have returned the disk address back to the address free list and would have allowed any other application running on the server to have written over that location on disk.

This is why we have diskcrashgate. Saying that the harddrives crashed allowed them to be removed from the machines and, ooooopsssie, allowed them to be recycled. Our Bad.

Have them dig into those computers, servers and files and I’m quite sure they’ll be a treasure trove.

If this was you or I or any small business and they were under investigation by congress, wouldn't they come in the middle of the night with a swat team and warrants and seize everything you own? Seize your computer, to prevent tampering with evidence, isn't that what the lawman says why they take peoples computers that are under investigation, then why did congress allow them to tamper with evidence?

Could it be different law for them than you and I?
