The hotly contested Democratic congressional primary in Harlem turned uglier than ever with challenger Adriano Espaillats campaign accusing Rep. Charles Rangel of sending out fake eviction notices to suppress the Hispanic vote in Tuesdays election.
A stunned Rangel, 84, who has marched and fought for civil rights during his five-decade career, insisted the accusation was a lie and immediately demanded an apology from Espaillat, a state senator.
The explosive claim against Rangel was leveled in tweets by Espaillat campaign adviser Lis Smith.

Fake eviction notices was the same stunt the Democrats used when they were trying to prevent a second bridge over the Detroit river.
It blew up in their faces when people realized that it was going to be the only way they would ever be able to sell and get out of one of Detroit’s worst neighborhoods.
Gee. I thought Democrats WANTED Hispanics to vote - even the illegals. Seems that when it comes to black politicians that’s not so cut and dried, is it?
It would send a cold hard message to both parties if Rangel loses....
Corrupt lying politicians are way past their ripening age....
They are rotten, spoiled and need to get tossed out....
Rangel should have retired a couple of cycles ago....
No disagreement there....
But in reality when do democrats go to jail...?

As of now the civil rights movement equals black power movement, but thanks to some conservatives who play along with that nonsense we have to take them seriously instead of scorning them.
Aggrieved collectivists fighting aggrieved collectivists. Not quite Sunni/Shia or crips and bloods but a tangle with Rangel nonetheless.
