Death Sentence Upheld on Leader of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood

CAIRO - An Egyptian court on Saturday confirmed death sentences against the leader of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Badie, and at least 182 of his supporters, judicial sources at the court told Reuters.

The court's decision came two months after it referred the case against Badie and hundreds of others to the state's highest religious authority, the Mufti, the first step towards imposing a death sentence.

They were charged over violence that erupted in the southern Egyptian town of Minya in July in the aftermath of the army's ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi, a senior Brotherhood member, after mass protests against his rule. One senior police officer was killed in the violence.

Many nations in the Middle East and Africa have been trying to limit the MB to no real avail. The MB (and similar organizations) fill the vacuum, politically, socially, economically, financially and medically, where governments fail. To a great extent, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Islamic Jihad (in every land), HAMAS in Gaza and the West Bank, MB in Egypt, ISIS in Iraq all start by giving the simple folk aid in many forms, then they build heavily weaponized armies. After that, they go Islamic Bonker Berserk and try to overthrow regimes. While Israel smashes the HAMAS in the West Bank, (thus saving the PLO Abbas from certain Coup d’etat), the POTUS may ask for Iran's help in getting him out of a disaster of his own making.

What's weird is that Obama should be detested by Islam because he left the faith and became a Christian, an offense punishable by death.
