Well now, if the POTUS was a Repub, the "news" media would have been all over this little nugget and we'd be hearing about it on a daily basis, complete with Powerpoint-type diagrams showing how the IRS emails are backed-up and stored.

Too bad the "news" media are too far up obammy's butt they can't even see daylight, much less the truth.

I am looking for into on off site storage of the legally required data backups

System/Application Backups

All FISMA-reportable systems and applications and non-applications (as defined by FISMA) shall be backed up in a restorable format on a regular basis, encrypted, and stored offsite. [Emphasis added]

Frequency and type of backups shall be defined in the Operations/Customer SLA and documented in applicable SA&A documents.

Why does this matter, you ask? It’s very simple. FISMA governs the retention and storage of government data, specifically including email and all other electronic correspondence.

I have a simple question, if the irs back ups are destroyed after 6 months and lerner produced thousands of emails, how did they get her email from july 2011-i know she got a new hard drive after the crash but would not those emails from 2011 after the crash also be unrecoverable? I don’t believe a high ranking exec would be allowed to keep or delete her own emails..if so that is criminal negligence imo.
