Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is working to bring the country's election process into the 21st century.

Gillibrand is expected to introduce legislation to modernize the nation's voter registration process Sunday.

It would effectively allow anyone who is eligible to vote to register online without a state issued I.D.

Currently, according to the senator, only half the country can register electronically—shutting out roughly 100 million eligible Americans and costing the state millions of dollars.

Registering, and voting, should be difficult. It should always be in person and it should always be witnessed by someone who can verify your identity.

Who you voted for must be a secret, but that you voted, and where, should be a public record

say “no” to on-line registration.

Voter Registration must be in person with proof of citizenship in hand.

Democrats have decided that it is just not cost effective to move busloads of illegals and other democrat voters all over town to
vote in different precincts when it can all be done by one person and a computer from the local democrat party headquarters.

Bingo!!!!

I would also submit that the vote is not something that should be so easy that every resident of the local cemetery is eligible to vote and does in some locales.

I say bring back poll taxes, literacy tests, property ownership and raise the voting age back to 21. Any and all of these would, in my opinion improve the quality of elected officials. Then repeal every Constitutional Amendment passed in the 20th Century. I am of the opinion that these changes are the only way to change the United States from a Democracy back to a Constitutional Republic

I always find it amusing how people can be shut out from something that didn’t even exist a few years ago.

If a person is not smart enough to be able to get a picture ID and register to vote, they should not be allowed to vote.
