Several Arab News websites are reporting the news. Al-Mesyroon reported (translated)
There were reports of the execution of Iraqi judge, Raouf Abdel-Rahman, who sentenced Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to death, according to confirmed the pages on the social networking site, without official confirmation from the Iraqi government.
The pages on social networking sites, including Page MP Jordanian Khalil Attieh on the site “Facebook” to “revolutionaries Iraqis arrested him and sentenced him to death in retaliation for the death of the martyr Saddam Hussein,” he said, adding that Rauf tried to escape from Baghdad after wearing uniforms dancers. Just a history lesson here. But when Mecca kicked the prophet Muhammad out of town for stirring up trouble....he left and headed to Medina...roughly seven days walking. As he walked along, he made up a list. When his bandit club had screwed up the merchant traffic to Mecca and they invited him to come back and be accepted if he wouldn’t incite trouble....he came back and virtually killed everyone in Mecca on his bad-boy list.
Muslims make lists because Muhammad started the whole list thing in the first place.
This for all those who proclaimed that Saddam had no links to terrorism. The terrorists certainly love to proclaim the justification to their hedonism in memory of the guy who supposedly hated them and kept them in check. Remember the insurgent guerrilla groups that attacked the US forces during and after the invasion? Was it not found that these were specially trained units by Saddam to exact the kind of attacks they carried out because he knew there was no way he could stand in defense against the American power.

It’s been looking like there’s enough “debt” to go around and string the revenge killing out for another 700 years. I’d been thinking the Mid East might get over it in another two centuries but it looks like I was an optimist. And I still say arm them all-—give every last Arab/Persian/Pashtoon a gun and let them settle it once and for all——maybe even speed up the two centuries. The trick is to quaranteen them. Don’t let them fly out to Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London etc. Just bottle them up in their own stink forever.
I’m not going to make that case. At this point just let the Saudis and Iran fight each other via proxy.
I initially thought that we should have intervened early on in this situation in Iraq. It’s clear now that we can’t. We’re sitting ducks in our embassy.
Best now is to break away and let these people annihilate each other.
