That looks a good way to spook a heron or egret. I remember seeing them in some of our distributors’ catalogs, but had not tried them. I hope it works for you.

Depends upon what drops in the water. Leaves, chunks of mulch etc will clog a skimmer’s screen, and cause the pump to suck air, overheat and possibly/probably cause a burnout. If it’s an older pump, the bearings will let go and spew oil into the pond, harming fish. If it’s a new ceramic mag-drive pump, it’ll have an auto-thermostat and just shut down and not burnout.

Fish in a pond will eat mosquito larvae, so that’s a non-problem. I’d think the chlorine in a swimming pool would poison the larvae...

8-point plan... I posted this 6-point plan two weeks ago.

First, you take over their health care and refuse to treat the residents.

Then you flood the city with immigrants from another country, and give the health care resources to them instead.

Then you drain the bank accounts of the residents and use the money to feed the immigrants.

Then you shut down the businesses that keep the residents employed, or enact punishing fines on the businesses so that they can't afford to keep the residents employed.

Then you break down the family structure of the residents in order to weaken their value system.

Then you stop teaching the children about math, science, and history, so that they lose their connections to their culture and national heritage, and make them dependent on those who took over the cities.
