UKRAINE: Military summary
Burko News ^ | 23.06.14 1 hour ago | Roman Burko

A summary of the day, 23.06.14 today will be short: we can say that thanks to the tactics used by security forces, the number of Russian ATO # technology from belligerents in Ukraine in recent days could not be quantified (see here http://informnapalm.org/?p=181).

The negative point is that terrorists continue to increase resources for specific directions. In particular, the observed movement of heavy machinery in the area of Seversk and Kramatorsk. In addition, terrorist activity has increased in the South, the city of Krasnyi Luch, where previously there was almost no.

Pleases only that it happens by drawing off resources fighters from other directions. The terrorists are afraid of insurrections, as evidenced by the Suppression of a riot in the village. Šabel′kovo and as a result additional outposts that protected it from Kramatorsk.

Periodically, the terrorists are trying to inflict blows on the Ukrainian law enforcement bodies, but are hard fought back, however, the Ukrainian side has maintained a unilateral cease-fire regime and does not develop countermeasures. In particular, today was foiled an attempt by terrorists to strike at the Ukrainian military from three directions (the details of deployment does not disclose, in order not to harm), the prevention of this strike was the operational information that had been provided by volunteers who monitor social networks and wiretap channels Zello militants and their accomplices. For that, many thanks to everyone who is involved.

In this context, I wish to remind you that anyone who wishes to provide information and engage in volunteer work can fill out a form with your wishes for directions (form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1buw8kC0UwFw1frzd2L5jIbxJpCg5o9v-DiwR6cAeC4Q/viewform),

or to report information in PS or send to the website https://stopterror.in.ua/

Terrorist. He keeps using that word. I do not think it means what he thinks it means.

Strelkov’s summary (rebel commander at Slavyansk):

Igor Strelkov’s Briefing, June 23, 2014, 12:40
Original: Icorpus.ru

In the course of the night from June 22-23, the enemy continued to build up its forces in the area of the river crossing across Severskiy Donets, near the villages of Krivaya Luka and Ilyichovka.

In the village of Krivaya Luka, the punitive squads of the enemy were evicting some of the population from their own homes and forbid the rest to go beyond the limits of their households. Several dozens of “BMD”, “BMDR” and “BTR” armoured vehicles have been concentrated in the village, along with large numbers of infantry.

In the area of Ilyichovka, tanks and artillery have arrived. As a result, [the enemy] is near completing the formation of the strike group aimed against Slavyansk and Lisichansk.

According to the available information, a guerilla unit attacked a column of enemy APCs [Armoured Personnel Carriers] at the border of the Kharkov and Donetsk oblasts, to the north of the Dolina settlement. In the course of a brief battle, two APCs were hit. Despite the high level of training demonstrated by the by the enemy soldier, the guerillas were able to escape encirclement and leave without losses.

Igor Strelkov’s Short Briefing, June 23, 2014, 13:24
Original: Icorpus.ru

Last night, our separate guerilla unit attacked the enemy in the area of the Dolina settlement. Two APCs were hit using grenade launchers, and, through automatic weapons’ fire, losses were inflicted on the paratrooper spetsnaz [travelling] atop the armoured [vehicle]. Despite the desperate attempts by the enemy (which demonstrate resilience uncharacteristic to common Ukie infantry) to overtake and destroy [our] squad, the unit was able to leave without any losses.

Apart from the two above-mentioned APCs, this brave unit also claimed one “BMP” armoured vehicle (hit at a checkpoint near the Yatskoye settlement), one “Ural” truck (destroyed in an ambush) and one Hummer (blown up with a landmine on the same highway).

The enemy continues to concentrate its forces in the region of Krivaya Luka – Ilyichevka. The columns of the enemy engage in continuous maneuvers, in an attempt to conceal the transfer here of equipment and men intended for an attack either in the direction of Slavyansk or of Severesk-Lisichansk (or against both targets – the force is sufficient).

“Fresh” Su-25 ground attack craft and FAB-500SH bombs have arrived at the Mariupol airport. Apparently, these are intended for the “ultimate pacification” of Donbass which to follow June 27th. Around Slavyansk (on the western and northern directions, from which, apparently, there will be no decisive attack) the enemy has installed sweeping combination minefields, made up of uncontrolled antipersonnel landmines of various modification (primarily OZM-72). There are already casualties among the locals.

No update from Besler, but he is likely part of the Donetsk Negotiations. Nothing new from Lugansk, as they are likely honoring the cease-fire agreement reached today.

The latest news from tonite, via Strelkov:

Ukraine’s Breaches of Ceasefire, June 23-24, 2014

Combined for the evening/night of June 23-24, 2014
Translated from Russian by Gleb Bazov

Information received by the militia over the past few hours, June 24, 2014, 23:55 – 02:20
Original: Strelkov Info

23:55 (MSK) – Unfortunately, the ceasefire that was reached several hours ago never came into effect; the Ukie forces opened fire, using heavy weaponry, including howitzers. This is not something they could blame on the militia: the heaviest weapon possessed by the militia is a 120mm caliber mortar. A mortar has neither an anti-recoil system, nor a carriage, and the sound of the firing mortar differs from that of artillery systems. It is obvious that howitzer batteries are being employed – bright bursts of light are followed by glow and then by rumbling of explosions.

The shelling is being conducted in the area of the Kombikormoviy, of the refueling station – there are sounds of howitzer and KPBT [large-calibre armour-mounted machine gun] fire.

00:10 (MSK) – There are bursts of light and signal flares coming from the direction of Kirovsk. In the vicinity of the turn onto Svyatorgorsk there are powerful blasts; in the region of the Yampol checkpoint – explosions. The shelling appears to be coming from the direction of Bogorodichnoe. Also, there is shelling coming from Staraya Krasnyanka against Lisichansk. In Dolginkaya there is combat, signal flares. The shelling is being done with heavy weaponry.

00:20 (MSK) – Bursts of light and explosions [observed] in the centre of Yampol. Fire is coming from the area of the bridge to Zakotnoye.

00:45 (MSK) – Artillery fire against Yampol continues from the direction of Zakotnoye.

00:50 (MSK) – The shooting has quieted down. Only question is for how long.

02:00 (MSK) – And so, here is information regarding the shelling of Lisichansk. [The enemy] was firing at the “Privolnyanskaya” mine. As a result of artillery shelling, an electrical substation was destroyed. The mine has been de-electrified – there are people who remain inside the mine. At this time, rescuers and emergency crews have departed for the mine.

00:20 (MSK) – There is shooting coming from the direction of Yampol.

Information from Local Residents, June 24, 2014, 02:00
Original: Strelkov Info

Around midnight, artillery shelling of the outskirts of Privoliye with the use of howitzers commenced from the direction of Staraya Krasnyanka. About 13 explosions could be heard … my 5-month-old baby was woken up by these explosions … In Privoliye an electrical substation was blown up, there is no light in the mine [as a result.] At the “Privolnyanka” mine – one woman was killed, one wounded. Electrical power to the mine has been interrupted. People were taken out through the reserve exit.

At the time, it is quiet in Privoliye. Those closer to “Privolnyanka” mine have no electricity. At the “Kapustina” mine everything is fine. Light has appeared in that part of the town. Could it be true that the mine itself was targeted? I am getting the impression that their goal is to destroy infrastructure

-It appears Kiev has no intention of honoring its own cweasefire. Which begs the question: How much control over the forces in the field does Kiev and Poroshenko actually have?

". . . troops from Russian federation have entered in Ukrainian uniforms.

ROTFLOL.

Including all the upper ranks of the Ukraine Military along with a significant percentage of those fighting for the Kiev Coup. The fact of the matter is that entire population born prior to Ukraine Independence is Russian by birth.

Of course, Kiev has a very convenient way of handling that little fact. They call anyone who doesn't agree with them either a "terrorist" or a "Russian" although they're no more "terrorists" than the Kiev Coup Kiddies and no more Russian than the generals leading the Kiev Coup Armed Forces.

The Pro-Maidan types willfully ignore that NONE of this would be happening, and a Ukrainian Flag would still be flying over Crimea, had the government not been overthrown in a violent coup.

The Russian Revolution was actually many mini-revolutions in 1917. The Ukrainian People’s Republic or Ukrainian National Republic-Ukraine began the modern Ukraine on 23 June 1917. The Ukraine began first as a part of the Russian Republic after the Russian Revolution BUT THEN FULLY proclaimed its independence on 25 January 1918.

The 18 March 1921 Treaty of Riga between the Second Polish Republic, SOVIET RUSSIA acted “on behalf of Soviet Belarus and Soviet Ukraine” which effectively ended the Ukrainian People’s Republic.

PRAY that history does NOT repeat itself!

In the independence referendum on 1 December 1991, the people of Ukraine fully supported the Act of their Declaration of Independence, with more than 90% voting in favor, and 82% of the electorate participating.

Since 1992, the 24th of August is celebrated in Ukraine as Independence Day.

Oh, horse hockey.

Pretending some treaty from 1917 is the governing authority is like pretending Napolean is still the Emperor of France because of the Treaty of Amiens.
