The campaign of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is holding a contest for supporters to win an invitation to a fundraiser the candidate is having with Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren in Louisville.
In an email to supporters, the Grimes campaign told recipients that by contributing to the campaign they are automatically entered into the running to get an invite for that person and a guest to attend a brunch fundraiser with Grimes and Warren in Louisville on Sunday, June 29.
The Grimes campaign had previously announced that Warren would be making campaign stops with the candidate during the month of June but had not released any details about events. The Louisville brunch is the first to be released.
Since the event is a fundraiser, the winner of the contest will not be dining with Grimes and Warren alone but the emailed announcement boasts that the supporter and their guest will get to meet the guests of honor.
In addition to hearing from Alison and Senator Warren, you and a guest will be treated to a fantastic meal. Heres the cool part: If you win, youll even get a chance to meet Alison and Senator Warren while youre getting your picture taken together, the Grimes campaign says in the email. Wont that look great on your Facebook page!
...
Grimes is also spending Monday night with other big Democratic fundraisers, according to the Washington Post which reports that Grimes will be in Manhattan to attend a fundraiser hosted by Hollywood film giants Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

I support Elizabeth Warren for the 2016 Democratic nomination.
Bush vs Clinton won’t solve anything.
I’d think only a handful of people in Kentucky would give a rat’s @ss about lunch with Lizzie.
Now if it was ole BJ Clinton, the numbers would be huge.
As BJ’s fans all say:
“All the women want him and all the men want to be him”
I cannot seem to find a picture of Grimes with Obama. Does that happen after the election?
Kentucky born and raised is making sure there’s no photos of her with Obama. That happens after she fools voters in Kentucky.
I don’t like mitch but I don’t want another Obama-girl.
If wonder if Addison Mitchell feels thwarted by not being invited to their social.
It is, and even NH is now “Red” Hampshire for leftism.
You know where his other hand is...LOL....what a letch...
And can anyone tell me...IIRC...isn’t this an illegal form of lottery?
I dont like mitch but I dont want another Obama-girl.

Ditto. We here in kaintuck will once again get to choose between the lesser of two evils. Alison should feel bad that she is the much worst choice.
Barf, this goes over well in Kentucky?
Alison would be a much worse choice. A vote for Alison would be a rubberstamp for Obama.
McConnell is a self-avowed enemy of conservatives and he wil be the GOP leader if re-elected,
So it would be better for him to lose.

Disagree. Only because it could help defend against Obama’s executive orders. Without control of the senate, there is absolutely no controls on what Hussein Obama will do the last two years.
A GOPE Senate led by McConnell will be as feckless and useless as the Senate has been for the last several years.
If they win a majority, the first thing he will do is share power with the Democrats
has McConnell introduced any legislation to rescind any of the EO's Obama has issued so far?

Maybe he should have but you and I know it would have been a waste of time since the demos control the senate.
Obama won’t have the potential to be as destructive if he doesn’t have control of the senate. That should be clear.
So we should elect a lefty who HATES us with a passion to stand up to a guy he has never shown any desire to stand up to??
That does not sound like a good plan.
Well, I am glad I no longer live in KY and don’t have to make the “choice” you face. I couldn’t oval in either one.
That does not sound like a good plan.
Let Obama and the demos control the senate for another two years and you may feel a little differently. I am afraid you will look back and realize that was a horrible mistake.
It is the lesser of two evils. If you think it’s okay for the demos to control the senate, I am not going to be able to convince you otherwise.
Fortunately for me, we’ve got two very good senators from my state — Jeff Sessions and Richard Shelby.
Well, if you want to believe that, that’s fine...but he never said explicitly said that - he said they were going to “crush” challengers to incumbent Senators.
You remove McConnell and any slim majority, if we get a majority with the Dems picking up the Kentucky seat, it a majority even more dependent on keeping Senators like McCain and Graham on board. We’ve never liked the caucus leader so what’s the difference if McConnell is replaced if Senators like McCain and Graham can continue to hold the rest of it hostage. That’s why we never like the caucus leaders...who would you prefer? Collins?
McConnell is gone in 6 years with no dynasty. Grimes is part of and older Democrat establishment (Lundergans) that predates McConnell that we are on the verge of wiping out here if this election goes well finally...however, if she wins, we’ll probably have work another few decades to remove it from the Commonwealth and would then start expanding beyond onto the national scene. McConnell - an issue for 6 years and then his tenure sunsets, or Grimes a problem for possibly decades.
It won’t for those who know who Warren is...unfortunately that’s probably very few.
