MSNBC Mocks NY Times, Wash Post for Lack of IRS Coverage (VIDEO)
Washington Free Beacon ^ | June 24 2014 | Washington Free Beacon

Posted on 06/24/2014 7:09:32 AM PDT by PoloSec

Morning Joe’s Joe Scarborough slammed the New York Times Tuesday for running a story about another possible Chris Christie bridge scandal and choosing not to run a front page story on the latest IRS targeting scandal developments.

“Is it possible that the New York Times and Washington Post are not putting on the front page of their newspapers the fact that an internal investigation has been launched against the IRS on the most shady behavior, and yet they put the Pulaski sky bridge whatever on page A-1?” Scarborough asked. “This is garbage.”

Panelist Nicolle Wallace jokingly searched for IRS coverage and found it located on A19 of the Times.

This led Scarborough to erupt even further, “This is why conservatives don’t trust national newspapers. It’s why they don’t trust broadcast news. There’s a double standard and you can see it on every broadcast. You can see it on the front page of every major newspaper. This is why we don’t trust the national news outlets, because they are so biased and slanted. It’s not the news that they run, even though this is a joke of a story to put on the front page here. It’s the stories they don’t run. It’s the omissions, the acts of omissions when Democrats are in power. It’s stunning.”

The only thing worse than a corrupt government is a corrupt media.

That’s a surprise. I guess this is MSNBC’s nod to being “fair and balanced.”

Look for the WH to rein in MSNBC.

This cannot be tolerated.

“This is why conservatives don’t trust national newspapers. ...

“This is why AMERICANS OF ALL POLITICAL PERSUASIONS don’t trust national newspapers. Sure, some like the papers but everyone knows they're completely one sided.

The media today does not merit protection. Let’s abolish the First Amendment as it pertains to the press.

Don’t read their papers, link to their websites, watch their programs. That is the only influence us little people have.

Personally, I don’t have time for lies & omissions.

Yep. I had a theory several years ago that as our country shows a lack of resolve internationally the ones at greatest risk are our “small allies” like Israel and SK. But then the Bundy ranch thing happened. And I realized that there was a flip side to that coin: The same thing happens domestically.

He has proven that he is an empty suit in every way. It means it is harder to control through fear. And once those that glom onto him strictly because they think he’s the “alpha dog”, as they realize he’s not, will probably be his most potent enemies.

And as the days click away toward January of 2017, they will grow in numbers, exponentially so.

I watched the show at the gym this morning.

This is Scarborough’s quarterly, perhaps semi-annual, breast-beating session over how the liberal press mistreats conservatives-—he presents himself as the lone voice of sanity, all the while shuckin’ and grinnin’ and playing the jackass, which is his fundamental self.

Make no mistake the rest of the show was dedicated to emphasizing that none of this nonsense reached the White House, that conservatives are almost always over the top, that Bush and Cheney are to blame for most everything, and repeated sneering references to Chris McDaniel and how “sketchy” he is, and how sterling and stalwart and upright Thad Cochrane is by comparison.

All of it is an act for Scarborough, a weird junky-like riff, especially when he gets amped up as he did today.

‘Course I would be twitchy and scattered too if I had the kind of dishonesty, pain, betrayal and even death on my resume as does he.

“...they are so biased and slanted...when Democrats are in power. It’s stunning.”

How are dems in power?

Does he mean the White House, or the Senate?

He’s so... What does he think happens when they are not in power?

Does he think the NYT doesn’t let up?

Does he want people to think the NYT does the same for republicans or conservatives?

The New York Times and the Washington Post are not even in the same UNIVERSE as news.

They are strictly Propaganda Channels for the Communist Democrats.

Bit of a misleading headline. Who writes these things? I did a double take of shock. No, this is NOT MSNBC, it’s Joe.
