Fox’s Neil Cavuto and Michele Bachmann Get into Epic Shouting Match: ‘You’re Being Silly!’
Mediaite ^ | 06/25/2014 | Tina Nguyen

An exchange between Neil Cavuto and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) regarding a lawsuit filed by the House against the Obama administration grew so contentious, that the former cut to commercial in the midst of Bachmann furiously admonishing him.

While Bachmann was on Fox to defend the lawsuit, which claims that the administration has abused his powers via over-using executive privilege and wants to defund him, Cavuto exasperatedly pointed out that the timing of the lawsuit seemed too political to make sense. “You’ve been bemoaning it for a long time. Why now the suit?” he asked. “Why not just fix things that are very, very wrong now rather than dragging someone to court over whether they overstepped their bounds? It just seems to me like an enormous waste of effort.”

Bachmann attempted to defend the lawsuit by hitting the GOP’s talking points, Cavuto wasn’t having any of it: Where was your rage with Democrats when Democrats were going after President Bush on the same use of executive orders? Because I think you knew then that was a waste of time then. I think you know in your heart of hearts this is a waste of time now.”

Eventually it devolved to the point where Cavuto abruptly took the program to a commercial break as Bachmann was in the middle of a loud denunciation of Cavuto.

When he returned, he apologized to Bachmann for accidentally cutting her off. “But I don’t apologize for my sentiment for the fact that we are wasting time filing lawsuits against one another,” he added. “These types of charades — and I’m sorry, that’s what I call them — are just that, charades.”

“I muted this. I don’t care who it is, I don’t like shouting matches. I thought Cavuto was out of line...why have people on and not let them talk?
I didn’t understand a word either of them was saying...so I muted it.”

Agree,I did the same. Cavuto has become O’Rielly Jr. A bloviating, condescending, arrogant, self agrandizing, narrsistic, ass hole. Did I forget anything?

The grandstanding lawsuit by “look! I’m a conservative” Boehner, will be used as a fundraising ploy by the RNC

He reminded me of BOR when he was having his tirade. Why I don’t listen to him either!

I agree. I tried to see both sides during this segment and they both had valid points. But as we know, both the media and the republicans have really turned a blind eye to all of Obama’s tyranny and outright destructiveness and once again, the politicians are coming up with another excuse to not fix the real problem. Impeachment and passing bills to defund all of the problem departments would open people’s eyes. Yet nothing is being done and the media, including Fox, refuse to fully investigate the issues of eligibility and the fact that all of Obama’s actions are deliberate and he is not tone-deaf to what is happening in the country because this is the outcome he wants.

I was extremely disappointed in Cavuto. He wouldn’t allow Bachman to answer his question, he browbeated her. He was an abject jackass. I usually like his program, not this one.

Was he so overbearing because he was dealing with a woman??

Cavuto is one of the few I can watch on either fox channel, but I didn’t see the interview.

I've pretty much stopped watching him too. The last time I watched him he got carried away and interrupted himself.

I can't stand the way he constantly interrupts his guests. If he does't want to hear what they have to say, don't invite them on the show.

I'd like to see one of them just get up and walk off the set. Let him interview himself.

Impeachment would be easy (done in the House).

Removal would be darned near impossible, if at all, with a rat-controlled Senate.

The question could be asked if he initiated the lawsuit years ago, ‘why now?”

No matter when it was filed someone will always ask the ‘why now’ question.

Why?

Because she was cut off and wasn’t able to answer. . .

Exactly. There are dangers with the law suit, as well. If the judiciary sides with the President., the constitution is done, finis. That is a very real danger because I am fairly certain that John Roberts is a Statist and that is the reason that he approved Obamacare.

Rather, impeachment is the only logical choice, lawsuits are the weak in the knees cop-out. Oh, please DC media do not call us racist, we are only suing him, not impeaching him!!

Cavuto was missing the point entirely by attempting to make a fair and balanced interview. His attempt at devil’s advocate missed the mark because he was advocating an off topic argument.

Cavuto blew it....... plain and simple.

I am NOT a Neil Basher, I like the guy, but he is a moderate at best. He has never stated that he was even a Republican, but certainly he is at the least a fiscal Conservative, but would still fit Dr Dobson`s coined phrase, RINO

The update was today if you missed it, Neil showed his true colors today, demonstrated that he was not fair and balanced at least today, had on a 3 person panel, the 4 of them discussed Global warming and His interview with Bachmann of the other day.

All 4 of them were in complete agreement on both subjects, global warming and MB

BTW Have never been a fan of MB, I think she did harm by running for President (yes she absolutely had the right) but as far as I am concerned MB is about MB

Yes she is right on many issues, only mentioned this for full disclosure

Today Fox and Cavuto were NOT fair and balance the 3 of them plus Neil came out LEFT and left on both issues
