“I certainly congratulate my colleague, Thad,” Cruz said on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin. Cruz reminded the hosts that he did not endorse a candidate in the Mississippi primary, as he promised to stay out of incumbent Senate races.

Ted I love you but this response by you absolutely sucks. Congratulate Cochran for what? He is a career politician that barely won. Pathetic. A statesman would not congratulate him but use it as an opportunity to state how much strength the Tea Party has gained and what it bodes for future elections etc and speak about the larger picture beyond this one election.

As upset as I was about the election result the fact is that even with Dem and Pub tricks and the RNC machinery a career politician barely won by the skin of his teeth in Mississippi. The Tea Party is making progress and on the move. That's the message. The RINOs are not at all comforted by those results let me tell you.

I didn’t love that Cruz comment either, but look what he did. “I certainly congratulate” - means oh yes, of course, I have to say I congratulate him -

And then Cruz went on to point out that he barely won after spending millions in the final weeks. It was daminng with faint praise.

I agree. What a gutless response from Cruz. I have always had enormous respect for Cruz. As for Rand, I expect stupid statements from him.

Methinks you’re whistling past the graveyard. Conservatives’ inability to defeat Graham or Cochran in the conservative strongholds of South Carolina and Mississippi is a dire sign. We’ve got to do a much better job of organizing against such Democrats-lite.

I agree that Cruz could have used the opportunity better. But I also think he in effect was damning cockroach with faint praise.

Ted, Bless your little old Cuban-Canadian-American heart!

One can only hope that when you once again proclaim that you are a Natural Born Citizen and run for President or whatever, African-American Double-Dipping Democrats will flock to your standard in their church vans and give you their multiple absentee ballots, too.

Here, wear this Trayvon Martin Hoodie while you're at it.
