Is there any possibility that he may switch over to Republican in the future? Sometimes blue dogs do that. He sounds like a DINO...lol
I understand your sentiments. It would be a hard choice.
I don’t know enough about what he really believes to know. He’s loudly pro-life and he was really proud of his NRA endorsement, so I don’t know how he can feel comfortable among the Rats. I also remember some talk of him switching parties a few years ago because he took a lot of heat from the radical liberals.
I think conservatives should campaign against Thad and Mitch and ALL other such folks.... But then for decades I have been a member of the DRIP revolution
I’ve said this, and also I read he ran as a Republican twice. I can’t see him being any more liberal than Cochran
Here's an establishment 'pubbie who enlisted the aid of Liberal Democrats under false pretenses, no less, to defeat a Conservative.
If that doesn't draw the battle lines for them, I don't know what will.
Im not endorsing Childers but he probably similar to Barrow, McIntyre and Heath Shuler in opposing amnesty and Obamacare. It is a pity Democrats dont run Heath Shuler in TN against Lamar.
In the 2008 House primary Republicans were split 51-49 in the GOP primary which Childers went on to win with 53% in the general.
He voted against Obamacare and for all strong immigration measures.
