I don’t even understand how YOU are responsible for the subsidies... you didn’t receive the benefit, nor the payment.

I can see if you were supposed to pay the full price and had been receiving reimbursement, but this is “feckless”ed up.

I understand it only if subsidies had been paid out already for future months (for after the policy was cancelled). Then whoever received the subsidies should pay them back, of course.
