Mexican Military Helicopter Enters US, Shoots at Border Patrol Agents

HOUSTON, Texas--Breitbart Texas has confirmed that on Thursday morning a Mexican military helicopter flew into the U.S. and shot at Border Patrol agents.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol provided Breitbart Texas with a statement that said, "At approximately 5:45 a.m. Thursday morning, a Mexican law enforcement helicopter crossed approximately 100 yards north into Arizona nearly 8 miles southwest of the Village of San Miguel on the Tohono O'odham Indian Nation while on a law enforcement operation near the border. Two shots were fired from the helicopter but no injuries or damage to U.S. property were reported. The incident is currently under investigation."

According to a report from local media outlet KVOA, Mexican authorities reportedly apologized to the U.S. subsequent to the fired shots.

It may be easy to label the crossing of armed Mexican authorities as ironic, given that in April, U.S. citizen and Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi was imprisoned in Mexico.

Why didn’t we reply with a Thunder Bolt eating them?

“.338 Lapua round through the cockpit ought to send a message....”

Excellent choice, esp. if it got both the pilots.

Maybe we should arm the Border Patrol with Stingers.

BULLSH!T!!! If shots were fired at our border agents or ANYONE ELSE for that matter, Mexico should feel the heat.

There’s a dirt road that parallels the border and crossing it put these invaders in the USA. ANY shots fired is UNACCEPTABLE.

That a US Marine is being held in a Mexican prison for mistakenly crossing into that sh!thole of a country, which is magnitudes less of a direct action than this flagrant border crossing, is all the more reason to be outraged.

The view from a helo is without equal. I spent some time in Army UH-1’s, UH-60’s, CH-47’s & CH-54’s & Marine CH-53’s. It is demonstrative of a feckless occupier of the White House, and a total lack of respect for the USA.

Here’s a link to a publicly obtained map with a clear view of the border south of San Miguel, AZ. There’s even a vehicle visible on the road when viewed using the satellite option. Any military aircrew should have at least comparable information at their disposal.

Apparently it was a war on drug operation in the first place.

Need to supply the Border Patrol with a few Stinger ... randomly so the taco boys are kept on their toes.

Well first they would have to determine if the Al Qaeda were moderates or not.

Awaiting the massive response by FedGov. Should I hold my breath?

Response is in:

Flight Global

Meanwhile, Mexico has been granted approval by the US government under the Foreign Military Sales process for the acquisition of five UH-60Ms, plus engines and other equipment, in a deal worth $225 million.

The nation will use the rotorcraft for anti-narcotics operations, according to the US Defense Security Co-operation Agency.

...in the half light of early morning...I can tell you it is easy to make a mistake.

So what did the Mexicans think they were firing at if not the US Border Patrol?

What, exactly, where was the chopper shooting at? It is not an “easy mistake to make”. The border is not a combat zone for which choppers just open fire.

Did you often fire your weapon before you had positively identified your target? Did you often fire at people who hadn’t fired at you first?

If you made a practice of that on board any aircraft I commanded I’d have tossed your ass out the door.

Do they routinely cross the US border to shoot at drug smugglers?

I think we’d hear about it.

I realize that in the summer the Rio Grand can be shallow in places, but do they really expect us to believe that they didn’t see it?

This happened in Arizona. No Rio Grande river there.

According to the report from Mexico, they were doing drug interdiction. From a helicopter that means firing at ground targets.

Somebody needs to tell our friends to the south that it’s all fun and games until the locals start shooting at them.
