DENVER Colorado sheriffs vowed to appeal Thursdays ruling by a federal judge upholding the constitutionality of the states 2013 gun-control laws limiting ammunition-magazine capacity to 15 rounds and mandating background checks for all gun purchases.
Weld County Sheriff John Cooke said at a press conference that while the sheriffs respect the judges decision, we believe that it is plainly wrong on the law and on the facts.
We will take this case to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and if necessary, to the United States Supreme Court, said Cooke.
Cooke spoke on behalf of the 55 sheriffs who filed the lawsuit last year after Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper signed the bill into law in March. The Democrat-controlled state legislature passed the hotly disputed measure with no Republican vote

Remember when Cali passed their “assault rifle ban”? The sheriffs said they would NOT enforce it. Now new sheriffs are enforcing it.
—exactly—and that’s why all laws should have expiration dates—that way the bad ones would disappear, instead of staying on the books forever-—
At the time the lawsuit was announced they also said that they would not enforce those laws.
It's more than that though, these laws have to be repealed or overturned.

Where is that everlasting chorus who claim:
“There is no difference between the two parties!”
It seems at though there was a clear difference in this case.
