I think myopia on our own side makes it possible, people pretended that Paultard loser Bevin had a chance, then got mad when he lost, absurd. I’m more interested in beating the rats than taking part in circular firing squads pointed at the congressional leadership. Seems like some people would like to see the democrats gain several Senate seats, which is an ignorant and dangerous attitude.

If KY conservatives wanted Mitch gone they needed a real challenger, they didn’t have one, so his renomination was a fait accompli, I don’t see much point in complaining about it now. That *itch Grimes must be defeated.

I no longer consider people like McConnell, Cochran, et al, as being on "my side." They've made it quite clear what their priorities are, and it's stopping Conservatives in the GOP no matter the cost. I don't vote or endorse people that I have no respect for, or for those whose actions have demonstrated themselves to be the enemy of my cause. They are the problem now.
