Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) says President Barack Obama, “will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration.”
Durbin made the comments at a press briefing on immigration last Thursday urging House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to bring an immigration bill onto the floor for a vote.
"I don't know how much more time he thinks he needs, but I hope that Speaker Boehner will speak up today," Durbin said. "And if he does not, the president will borrow the power that is needed to solve the problems of immigration and he shouldn’t be sued as a result of it."

Good for you - I wish border governors would take that position. Just stop them at the border and return them or jail them.

I think “borrowing power” is like churches “selling indulgences!”
indicative of the astronomical level of DC corruption. This government is broken and it will not fix itself and the “vote them out” ploy won’t work due to the DC establishment’s reliance on vote fraud. Fixing this mess will require hundreds of thousands of citizen’s physically intervening to remove the criminals from DC and to stop the corruption. At some point it’s earthier do something about it or continue to take what the oligarchy forces on us. And if the people of this country choose the latter, just look at human history, it will get worse.

Borrow the power. Ahhhh, such a warm and fuzzy new term. Where in the checks and balances does it say he can borrow anything? SCOTUS and Congress are bending over further and further and asking for more. I get the feeling he has never returned anything he has borrowed. Heil, hussein!

I think you are on to something. If the border states did this, you’d see Federal troops on the border over night. Problem is they’d be there to “capture” the states LEOs not stop the incursion from Mexico.

The Senate Democrats would pass an enabling act right this very day, if they could.
1. Secure the borders.
2. Everyone in the country illegally has 60 days to leave the US. This would include pregnant illegals.
3. Those who refuse and are caught in the country after 60 days will be returned to country of origin with no chance of ever returning ... ever.
4. Those from #2 wishing to return must pay a fine, demonstrate proficiency and/or willingness to learn English, must possess skills deemed critical to the welfare of the US, and go through the normal process of becoming a citizen. Others need not apply.
While there are major issues with such a simplistic approach ... the basic outline would rid us of the unwanted welfare class from other countries.
Which is precisely why the 'Rats want them - their future base voters.

What if after lending baraq that power, then baraq borrows the power to eliminate the Senate? They what will the dims do? They have created a monster and don’t realize that he could very easily turn on them. baraq doesn’t consider himself as a citizen of the US, but as a citizen of the world.
